Welcome to our newly remodeled lakefront cottage—your perfect Up North getaway! Nestled at the end of a private cul-de-sac, just 15 feet from the water’s edge, this charming retreat offers 100 feet of private sandy frontage on Long Lake. Whether you’re looking for adventure, relaxation, or a romantic escape, our cottage has everything you need to create lasting memories.

Endless Outdoor Fun & Relaxation

Spend your days swimming, sunbathing, or exploring the lake with our paddleboat, canoe, kayak, and paddleboard. Our private dock is perfect for fishing, jumping off of, housing your private boat, or renting a pontoon for a sunset cruise. After a day on the water, unwind with a bottle of your favorite local wine on the boat, toasting to breathtaking lake views.

As the sun sets, listen to the soothing call of the loons echoing across the water—a true Northern Michigan experience. Gather around the fire pit for s’mores or relax on the covered patio, complete with a comfortable couch and picnic table—perfect for lakeside dining, morning coffee, or stargazing. Fire up the Weber gas grill for a lakeside cookout, and enjoy cornhole and lawn games for some friendly competition.

Our cottage was remodeled in 2016 and again in 2024, featuring a brand-new kitchen and bathroom. In 2025, we updated the beds and bedding for ultimate comfort. Inside, you’ll find a warm and inviting space designed for relaxation after a day on the lake.

Holiday getaway

We had the perfect stay at this charming waterfront property. We enjoyed all it had to offer: the outdoor patio area, the fire pit by the water in the evening for smore's, and the water gear (paddleboat and stand up kayak). Great cabin close to everything!

Thank you very much for hosting me at the cottage on Long Lake in Traverse City! The kitchen and bathroom are brand new and the decor is very nice throughout the cottage. I especially loved the covered patio for drinks and BBQ. What a peaceful spot steps from the water! Listening to the loons calling was another highlight. Comfy beds and very clean throughout! The house was perfect in every way. It had all of the essentials (which made packing so much easier), very clean, and the location was perfect. I had my three boys with me (16, 12, 6yrs old) and fun was had by all. Owners were very responsive to my questions prior to arrival. Very easy check-in/out process. Relaxing retreat

We had a wonderful getaway to Long Lake in the Traverse City area. Jason and Suzy were very hospitable and provided a comfortable and accessible location for our family to enjoy the beach and lake. The stand up paddle board, kayaks and paddle boat were great for enjoying the lake. The fire pit was perfect for making s’mores and enjoying the sunset. And the Weber grill was perfect for making burgers and ribs. Highly recommend!

Great location and nice property.

The lakehouse is a converted 1950 (?) trailer and is super cute. You'll need to bring a couple of kitchen items (cutting board, smaller baking sheet, extra plates/cups) as well as additional towels as there is no washer/dryer and we used the towels really quickly. The beds are super comfy. Jason and Suzy are very friendly and attentive. The beach was very small due to high water levels and it inhibited us from having a fire as the waves crashed up all day leading to a wet fire pit so if that is a must for you be aware. The lake and swimming area are gorgeous. It is a beautiful location and would highly recommend this property.
