Staff stole my necklace. We liked our room and were so happy we did plan to come back. That was until we got home and my husband asked if I got my necklace that I had left on the counter in the room. I had not - I took it off at bedtime and forgot to do one last check of the room before we left. Shame on me for forgetting it, but I imagined that when I called first thing the next morning that management would get it from the room cleaner and mail it to me - at my expense. The person cleaning the room said she didn't see it and the manager stood by that. We know for 100% certain that it was left on the counter by bathroom sink. I know for a fact that whoever is employed by Brio Beach Inn that went in the room now has the birthstone necklace that my daughter got for me. Yes, we should have checked the room, but I would have hoped she would have turned it in - ESPECIALLY since I called so quickly! We will not be returning to this property, definitely since management did nothing to correct the situation.

It was early in the season so we did not utilize the beach or the deck but it looks like it would be a great place to hang out. The second floor rooms are small. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast is more of a snack than a meal.

I was greeted with the friendliest front desk clerk. I can’t recall her name! She shared her restaurant pics…we highly recommend Sleders, oldest restaurant in Michigan. Our room looks like it was recently remodeled…it’s spotless, the coveted gazebo and private beach with fire pit are a welcome surprise! This place should have 5 stars!

Great was staff, rooms were clean, and the view was beautiful! There wasn’t much on the breakfast buffet. We just had apple/banana and a bagel. I would recommend my friends and family to stay here.

Our room was small, bathroom very small, but everything was very clean and comfortable. The bed was excellent. The young lady at check in was very pleasant and she recommended several good places to eat. It was too cold to enjoy the beach but I’m sure in a few weeks it will be very nice. If we are ever this way again I would definitely stay here.

A hidden gem!

Gorgeous location on East Bay, with a beautiful sandy beach. The room was darling, with excellent use of the space. Comfortable beds with clean, crisp linens. The bathroom offered a large stand up shower, and the sink had plenty of counter space with shelves below for storing personal items. The fridge, microwave and coffee maker were a welcome bonus. In the morning, we enjoyed our free continental breakfast at the beach deck-so perfect!! The Brio is a hidden gem and we will definitely be returning !

Great view of the lake/water. Very clean, simple, well kept property. The only issue I had was that the TV didn't work, which is akin to torture when you're alone and there are hockey playoff games to watch.
