Well appointed hotel with nice spa.

An excellent 2 night stay at The Daffodil Hotel. Friendly, helpful staff and a very well appointed hotel. It was nice to use the spa facilities after a long (rainy) walk around the lakes.

We stayed to celebrate my husbands 60th Birthday and although we had a slight issue with the booking (expedia’s fault not theirs) the staff were brilliant upgrading our room and leaving a lovely card and chocolates for my husband. Also after dinner they presented my husband with a Happy Birthday plate with fruit and chocolates. The spa pool was lovely and relaxing. All the hotel staff were very friendly and chatty. We will definitely go back again.

Nice hotel but improvements could be made

Had an enjoyable stay, however, spa pool wasn't the warmest but ok. Food choice limited and the mains expensive and food very rich. I had lamb and felt it need some green beans or something as very sweet. The bed was a bit uncomfortable as could feel springs.

Attentive staff, lovely food, lovely clean room. Spa was nice, but a bit small. The only issue was on check-in…" The toilet seat in our room was seriously cracked / dangerous, and as no maintenance personnel were available, we had to change room. Efficiently resolved, but wasn’t something we should have had to deal with.

The dinner was delicious, breakfast not the best. Spa we really enjoyed it. The room is comfortable however, the carpet is very dirty and needs a good clean. The location was perfect.

A lovely stay in the lakes

Lovely hotel in a lovely part of the Lakes, The staff are very friendly and the hotel is well maintained. However we fount the bedroom cold and we had to complain. the heater was set at 28 but it was nowhere neare that. onve we got into bed we were cozy however.

Fantastic winter break.

Lovely hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful - receptionist showed us several rooms when we enquired about an upgrade, and gave us a lake view for £20 extra. Food allowance was ample and meal was excellent. Lovely breakfast. Really enjoyed the spa and the a candlelit back massage. Loves all the unique and quirky art all around the hotel. We will definitely return.
