Luxury 3 bed apartment a few minutes walk from beach, harbour and town!

Lower Merida is a luxury apartment within a Victorian Villa. It is situated above Beacon Cove, a few minutes walk from Torquay harbour, town centre and near beaches.

The property is accessed via the main gates with a gravel drive and there is 24-hour security. Sorry, we are unable to accomodate those in a wheel chair.

The apartment is finished to a luxurious modern standard with granite worktops and space to relax.

If you enjoy walking, cycling, sailing or spending time at the beach we are in the perfect location for your holiday!

Lower Merida has three bedrooms and sleeps eight. The apartment is accessed via stone steps past a brick built BBQ.

Shower Room/Utility
On entering you have a spacious shower room, w/c, basin with vanity units, towel rail. To your left a utility area with laundry facilities, an iron and ironing board.

Passing along the corridor you enter a modern light-filled open plan kitchen diner.

Kitchen Diner/Lounge
The kitchen is fitted with a granite worktop, fully integrated appliances, American Fridge Freezer, gas hob, fan oven, dishwasher and microwave and a full compliment of crockery and cutlery. The dining room table seats eight people.

There are three sofas in the lounge with a wall mounted television and coffee table to eat, drink and relax.

There is a selection of books and games in the apartment.

A combi boiler provides hot water and heating.

Bedroom One
In bedroom one there is a king-sized zip link bed which can be separated into two 2’6 singles with bedside tables and lights. There is a hang space with chest of draws and a television.

Bedroom Two
In bedroom two there are two sets of 3-foot bunk beds to sleep four with bedside tables, side light, wardrobe with draws and television.

Bedroom Three
In bedroom three, there is a king-sized zip link bed which can be separated into two 2’6 singles with bedside tables and lights. There is a wardrobe, chest of draws and a television.

Family Bathroom
Large walk in shower, w/c, full size seperate bath, basin with vanity unit below and towel rail.

Outdoor space
Outside on the raised lawn is a picnic table/bench for catching the sun as it goes down with a drink.

Towels, bed linen, tea towels are provided as well as initial complimentary tea, coffee and sugar, dishwasher tabs and washing up liquid.

Torquay terrific!

This was a truly lovely apartment, beautifully decorated and fitted out. It was clean, comfy and met our needs absolutely. The kitchen was really well catered for - lovely cooking pots, could have taken these home! All in all a really good holiday would certainly recommend this accommodation. And Louise (and husband) were was lovely too. Thank you....

The best!

Louise’s accommodation was a real home away from home. We arrived just before Christmas and she was so kind and accommodating to allow us to check in early. The house is immaculate, super clean and in a fantastic location. The kitchen is well equipped and bathrooms modern and comfortable. . She had even left Christmas decorations and treats for us which was very much appreciated as it was my kids first time away from home at Christmas. I thoroughly recommend this accommodation. it is simply ourstanding especially for families. Thank you so much for your perfect home.

Marvellous Merida

Great accommodation in a great location in Torquay. Exactly as described and very comfortable. Provided us with really easy access to sites of South Devon, beaches, walking etc. Fantastic host for whom nothing was too much trouble, including helping out with an unexpected flat tyre!.

Beautiful apartment

Beautiful apartment very well equipped. Louise was very helpful and the communication was fabulous. Lovely and clean, well presented. Lovely comfortable beds. Fantastic location a 3 minute walk to the town and the facilities. Really helpful folder with local restaurants and leaflets for local attractions. Would stay again. The only thing that could have improved our visit would be a gate or something to secure our dogs in our outside area to stop them getting to areas they were not allowed.

Amazing stay and fabulous hosts

Extremely clean property, hosts were fantastic and catered to your every need. Beds so comfy in fact we haven’t slept so well in a very long time. Bank holiday weekend break

On a later arrival our Host Louise was there to meet us, to make sure we had a save journey and if we needed anything. Our 3 bedroom apartment at Merida was lovely,clean and spacious and in a good location for Torquay town centre and harbour which was about a 5 min walk away down a bit of a steep hill. It was our grandson birthday on the Sunday and it was a nice touch by our host who left a pack of balloons and bunting and a nice pack of cream cakes to share. Many thanks

Wonderful stay

Had a great stay in torquay . We were 2 families sharing, plenty of space for the 7 of us, lots of crockery and utensils etc. Used the bbq one evening, and enjoyed a Prosecco in the evening sun on the benches. Rest of holiday it rained, but this didn’t matter - plenty of games in the apartment, and really close to Kent’s cavern (5 minute drive) and ten pin bowling (10 minute walk). Only thing that would have made it better would be more comfortable mattresses - king size ones were fine, but the ones on bunk beds need replacing. Owners were brilliant, and responded to any queries we had and sorted very quickly. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great location and great hosts

First time in Torquay. Amazing location. Walking distance to town centre with all its amenities and a couple of minutes in the other direction you’re at the cliff’s overlooking the water. Hosts were extremely polite and helpful and ensured we had a lovely stay.
