Tongjung is an excellent place to see, however, accommodation in in the centre of the city is limited. You're likely to have an easier time finding a place to stay at any of the 2 options within 10 kilometres.

The WE Motel and Time Hotel are some good options if you'd like to stay within range of the main streets.

If you don't mind setting up base 19 kilometres away from the city center, look into the suburb of Seomyeon Medical Street. It's got 3 available options, such as Lotte Hotel Busan and Toyoko Inn Busan Seo-myeon.

Excellent Hotel - Highly Recommended

I stayed for 2 nights at the Asti Hotel before catching the ferry across to Japan. So I was looking for a hotel close to Busan Station and Busan International Ferry Terminal. The Asti is ideally situated (30 metres from Busan Station and well within walking distance for the ferry terminal - accessible via a covered walkway from Busan Station). All the hotel staff were extremely helpful and polite. I was in a corner room on the 14th floor. The room was clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed. I didn’t eat in the hotel. But I did use the fitness room. This offered running machines, static bikes, various dumbbells and weight machines. Due to its location close to the station, the many shops and restaurants. The Asti also offers an ideal location for accessing not only the rail network to Seoul etc. But also with the very efficient buses and metro. It is cheap and easy to to all the tourist attractions and beaches in Busan. When compared with other similar hotels, the Asti offers great value for money. I hope to return to Busan and will look to stay there again.
