This is the worst motel that I have ever stayed at in Thunder Bay and I have stayed at many. I though the Ramada name would have standards to live up to but I guess not. Lobby looks great but that's where it ends. Dingy hallways, most vending machines don't work, parking lots are filled with holes and the entire exterior feels unsafe even in daylight. I ended up parking right in front of the main doors and was relieved when it wasn't broken into over night. Sketchy people abound. Hardly any guests in this motel but I was still given a dated dingy room beside someone with an adjoining door - it made listening to the screaming match next door between two young women that much easier to hear. Oh yes, the cigarette and marijuana smoke from their room also was great. I was amazed the TV worked. Shower was great with lots of hot water to wash off the bad experience. I will never stay here again.

Terrible facilities will not return

The facility was outdated and poorly maintained. The room was filthy, dark and dingy. Would not recommend, the staff were kind and helpful but this could not make up for the state of the facilities. Will never stay with this brand again let alone at this facility.

Disgusting!

It was one of the dirtiest rooms I’ve stayed in. The carpet emanated a smell that was intolerable, we had to sleep with the window open and keep our shoes on. Our clothes kept the smell from the room and we stunk all day. The bathroom floor was sticky. There was blood and/or a brownish red substance on the wall. The faucet was leaking. The shower curtain was dirty. The window sill was so dirty that it was black with grime instead of white. The toilet was dirty. The towels were stained. We didn’t dare drink anything from the tap (because of how dirty everything was), so we looked for a vending machine. They were all out of service. So we had to go to the lobby to get a drink. The building is a bit of a maze, unclear indications and no staircase from the first floor to the third (no elevator either). You have to go up one flight of stairs, then walk around to find another set of stairs to make it to the third floor. There were police in the building when we showed up, that should have been a red flag…

This hotel is very dated. The carpet and couches are filthy. Curtains are ripped, light bulbs out, and in a room that is supposed to accommodate 5 people there was only one washcloth. The shower grout was moldy. We will never go back.

This property was not clean, and stunk! Hotel was out dated. I am a smoker, but I was disgusted with the amount of buts on the property. I remember when the name Ramada spoke of excellence, butt wow were we disappointed!

This is a VERY OLD property which should probably be totally reconstructed. Though clean it’s far behind modern standards. Vastly misrepresented on the web site. The parking lot is a minefield the lobby dated, and the isolation of the place makes it feel like one’s vehicle is an easy target for theft, though I’ve been assured that’s never happened. It’s an ideal property to convert to convert to an assisted living facility before demolition. Our accompanying couple left promptly after viewing their room, and I would have too, had I not booked through EXPEDIA — getting a refund would have been a pain in the ass! Live and learn!

The restaurant next to the hôtel was great . The first room we got was terrible dirty bathroom not clean bathtub dirty with dog food on the floor and the room was brown dark and so hot inside when you enter. The second room was bright white sheets fresh feeling when you enter very nice welcoming compare to the others room . The front desk gentleman was very helpful thankyou to him
