Always stay here in future

I’ve stayed in the area a number of times and tried various hotels. Fabulous hotel and this is definitely where I’ll stay in future. Wonderful hotel, beautifully decorated. We booked sea facing rooms with a small balcony which was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had booked tables at restaurants so I can’t comment on the dining but used the bar and that was perfect. Can’t fault the place or the staff

Good overall, but...

Very classy decor and friendly staff. Great breakfast and fantastic location. The only minus points were (a) the air conditioner didn't seem to be working, and (b) I wish warmer and more ample water came out of the shower. But (a) can be an isolated unfortunate events and (b) can be just my subjective opinion.

Loved my two night stay. My room was one of the newly renovated rooms and it was lovely. I was on the fourth floor. Looks as if they are working their way around the rest of the hotel but there was no noise or disruption. The reception staff were very friendly and overall the hotel added something special to my short stay in Brighton.

Second trip to the Grand. Last time was for New Year’s Eve. Room was newly refurbished. This is somewhere you can relax and feel taken care of with good old-fashioned British charm.

Disappointing

It was OK. It was disappointing that check in was so late (4pm) and it meant a lot of congestion so had to wait. Check out is supposed to be 11am but I had someone knocking on my door before that when I was in the middle of a call. My key did not work either. Staff were friendly and it's obviously a nice hotel etc but overall a bit disappointing.
