Riverside hotel

The hotel aces the busy Ringwood to Bournemouth road but at the back it overlooks a beautiful peaceful stretch of the Avon and Stowe rivers with a blacony and terrace for breakfast or dinner.

Staff are great and very freindly, rooms are clean and well presented the air con is a blessing on the warm days. Bath showers could do with having thermostatically controlled bath mixer taps as very easy scald yourself.

A wonderful stay with all amenities catered for. A word of complaint, bath/shower facility should have non slip bath mat as climbing out of the bath over the rim it was easy to lose your footing of your remaining leg as you lurch forward. 😢 One suggestion, hand dryers in the WC facilities should ideally be with the latest technology high speed, pressure type. Maybe Dyson type or design. 😅 Otherwise a perfect stay with great food and services. Liked the complimentary quality tea and coffee options in the room.

Pleasant stay

Was pleasant. Whilst by a busyish road, restaurant and bar at rear overlooking river with wildlife which was pleasant. Restaurant had a brief but competent menu, with several vegetarian/ vegan options. Very friendly staff. Room was small in terms of floorspace but otherwise perfectly comfortable with bath and good sized bed. Cooked buffet breakfast. Felt modern overall. Would be happy to stay again

It might sound like a cliché and a bit over the top but I think this is one of the best hotels in the world. The location is great, ample parking, the location next to the river gives the hotel a great atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and the service matches, even when the restaurant is very busy. A nightcap after dinner on the terrace by the river on a warm summer evening! What more could you want? Highly recommended!
