This is a lovely, clean and inviting B&B - made exceptional by the couple who run it. My room and the whole place felt spacious, the views are lovely (across fields down to the harbour), and also the location is great even if you don't have your own transport. I'm vegan, and not only was there plenty to choose from, but they'd have got in more had my message got through the system soon enough! I had fresh fruit and toast every morning, and having breakfast cooked to order was so nice, too :) The main X1 bus stops a couple of minutes from the B&B, though I ended up walking to and from the harbour and town - partly because on Sunday the buses don't start early enough to get you to the ferry to Hoy(!), and then because I realised how quick the walk is (20 mins there, maybe 25 mins back uphill). But it's an excellent location to see everything from, with or without a car. So many nice touches go up to make this a great place - from things like having proper big cups in the room to make tea, to incredibly comfy beds and a blackout blind. And the hosts are just so lovely: friendly but professional, and obviously happy to share their enthusiasm for the islands they're from. I'd recommend this B&B unreservedly.

Great stay, room was excellent, breakfast options were varied and well cooked. Hosts were very helpful and allowed me to store my rented bike in their garage. Overall a great stay. Good location to travel out to Skara Brae, Birsay, the Orkney Brewery, Stenness, Ring of Brodgar, HOUTON AND THE ferry to Scapa Museum.

We loved our stay. The home is conveniently located mear to the ferry. It is also not far to drive to a number of historical sites. The home cooked breakfast was lovely, and the view from the dining room was beautiful. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We recently enjoyed our holiday stay at the Lindisfarne bed and breakfast in Stromness. This was our first visit to the Orkney Islands and we stayed there for two weeks. Kevin and Debbie were our host's at the B and B. They both looked after us superbly. The quality of the accommodation was excellent and the breakfast was generous and delicious. We will most certainly be returning and cannot find the word's to thank both Debbie and Kevin for their fantastic hospitality.
This is our view at breakfast.
