My wife and I love Stowe, VT. We try go get there every now and then. However, our last experience left us bitter, our "usual" place had changed owners and it was disappointing. So this time we tried a lovely new inn that just opened in 1945 (well, it's "new" to us!): the Stowe Village Inn. What an absolutely charming, beautiful inn. To be honest, I expected to find Bob Newhart behind the desk to greet us! It was even better: Melinda, the GM of the inn, greeted us and checked us in; such a lovely person! The inn has obviously been well-maintained and renovated over the years, but retains its Vermont-style charm and coziness. The rooms are modern, clean, comfortable. And you know what they say: location, location, location! You step out of the inn and you're right in the heart of downtown Stowe, and as the Counting Crows sang, "it's the heart that matters more". I just can't say enough about this inn, except that I can't wait to get back there for another visit!

Great place to stay, centrally located. Only negative is front desk is only open to 9pm for people arriving late they do have a good process in place though. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay here! We were in the modern motel section (a great budget-friendly alternative), which is directly across from the main building, with a shared parking lot, so it's easy to enjoy all the amenities available in the lobby, including free coffee, tea, and cocoa, along with a filtered water dispenser and a cabinet of extra towels and toiletries. The room itself felt cozy with soft lighting and was spacious enough to move around easily despite our multiple suitcases. Coat hooks by the door were much appreciated, as was the cozy bed. We had dinner one night at the hotel, which had live music, wonderful service, and an excellent, fall-driven menu. I'd make a reservation ahead of time, as it gets busy quickly. Last but not least, we arrived about an hour early, and the person who greeted us at the desk was friendly and accommodating. I wish I had written down her name because I appreciated her welcoming energy and willingness to let us check in early since the room was ready. It started our stay on the right foot. We will definitely book this place again in the future, though we may switch it up and try the main building next time.

Amazing stay, I can't wait to come back! We stopped here after our Air BnB plans fell through due to weather and got one of their last rooms in the outside motel space. The room was super cozy, customer service was top notch, and it was a great central location to all things in Stowe. Special shout out to Jazmine at the front desk who was absolutely lovely, she made our check-in process so easy and made herself available to us whenever we needed her.

The only complaints we had were noise related. There was a tapping noise in the walls, guessing it was the hot water pipes from the heating system. It was definitely annoying but we combated it by playing rain noise on Youtube to help us sleep. They should have paved the parking lot because the sound from cars driving on the rocks was quite noisy. You could hear every car coming in or out. Otherwise, the room was clean, warm, spacious and comfy. The bed and linens were nice as well. The location was perfect to take a quick walk to the main road for shopping/eating. We took a nice walk Doc Ponds for which was a nice walk. Overall, nice stay and would stay again.

We loved it here it’s a very cozy place. AC could be a bit better and the bathroom ventilation needed some help but other than that it was a beautiful property, really really nice staff! They offer tea/coffee all day, very safe area, walkable to EVERYTHING. We would stay here again, it’s very charming. Water pressure was good, internet is a bit on and off where we were in room 3. Not sure how other rooms are. Lots of space in this room which was nice. Definitely would stay again. The on property restaurant was SO GOOD! We had it one night and the service and food was amazing.
