I’ve been staying at this hotel in Stockholm since the 90s and I always come back to it. I love its boutique type feeling and the location is fabulous as it’s opposite the Arlanda Express and has a metro stop around the corner. It’s also close to Drottninggatan a street that has many shops and leads you to Gamla Stan. The rooms are lovely and clean with powerful showers and there is plenty of choice at breakfast. Whilst I have stayed at others places in Stockholm, I tend to always come back to the Freys for its great location.

I had a wonderful stay at Freys Hotel last weekend. The property has a lovely, traditional feel while being situated in a modern part of town. The location couldn’t have been better — directly opposite Central Station and the Arlanda Express, with bars and restaurants close by but without any intrusive noise. My room was beautiful: clean, luxurious, and with exceptionally comfortable beds. The staff were welcoming and attentive, which really added to the experience. Breakfast was very enjoyable, with a good continental selection; although the vegetarian options were a little limited, it was still a satisfying start to the day. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and Freys Hotel will definitely be my first choice for future visits to Stockholm.

We had an outstanding stay at Freys Hotel. Our room for three was spot-on — spacious, comfortable, and really well thought out. The beds were wonderfully comfy, the shower was powerful, and all the little in-room amenities were exactly what you want after a long day exploring Stockholm. The double glazing deserves its own shout-out too… we heard absolutely nothing from the street. Bliss. The reception team were brilliant from start to finish: warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. You get the sense they really care about guests having a great stay. We also loved the attached restaurant. Breakfast was a proper highlight — fresh, plentiful, and great quality. Hot dishes, cold meats, pastries, baked goodies… the sort of spread where you go back “just for a little more” even though you’re already full. In short: a superb hotel, fantastic staff, great location, and genuinely one of the best city-break stays we’ve had. Highly recommended.

Perfect location for site seeing in the city with excellent links to Arlanda airport. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the breakfast selection is excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a city break in Stockholm.

Perfect location for access to the train station. Wifi was fast, room was small but comfortable, slightly weird shower. The big negative was terribly noisy plumbing. I heard water running through the pipes all night. It wasn't consistent like white noise, but went up and down in volume continuously.

Hotel was lovely, location is off the main street but very close to Stockholm Central Station and centre, great for shopping. Dining in the resturant was great, food was amazing. Breakfast was delicious so much choice. Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff very friendly. Would definitely stay again.
