This unique family home is within walking distance of the Base Area, and just a stone's throw from the nearest ski in/ski out slope. This gorgeous stand alone home is one of just a few dozen located beneath the path of the gondola in Steamboat Springs. While staying at Sissa's Chalet, you have the option to either walk approximately 75 yards to the snow's edge or simply schedule our winter shuttle service to pick you up. When the first gondola car rolls overhead you know it's time to get down to the base and claim one for yourself. Ski hard all day in powder filled Steamboat Springs and return home to the amenity filled Sissa's Chalet.

This historical ski chalet is bursting with character and charm. Start the day with a little morning coffee on the deck while watching the suns rays across the Yampa Valley, and on the gorgeous Flattop Mountains in the distance. As the Gondola cars gently sweep up the hillside, make your way to the mountain for first dibs on some of that legendary Steamboat Champagne Powder. At Sissa's Chalet it's easy to ski home for a quick lunch or apres ski drink since you're so close to the slopes! When you've enjoyed enough turns for the day, you'll love being the envy of other skiers as you head home to your own little haven on the mountain.

As the evening draws in, cozy up in the downstairs lounge and catch a movie on the flat screen TV, chat with your group in front of the wood burning stove style fireplace, soak in the private hot tub, or wrap up in a blanket and tip-toe out to the deck to see if you can spot any wildlife quietly passing by. Ready to turn in for the night? Head into one of the four plush bedrooms spanning three floors. You'll find a Queen Suite on the entry level with a full ensuite bathroom. Head to the main level for the bunk room featuring a Twin over Twin bunk bed with a Twin trundle, and head across the hall for the King bedroom with a shared bathroom with hallway access. Ready to see something special? Head upstairs to the upper level King Primary Suite featuring a gas fireplace, sweeping panoramic mountain views, and a private living area. This King Primary Suite encompasses the entire floor and has a spacious ensuite bathroom with a jetted bathtub and stand up shower. Enjoy your privacy and space in this unique Suite!

Sleeping Arrangements: King in the upper level Primary Suite, King in the second bedroom on the main level, Twin over Twin bunk bed with Twin trundle in the main level bunk room, and Queen in the entry level suite. Sleeps up to nine guests.

Parking: There is room for four cars in the driveway. DO NOT park in the unpaved spaces across from the driveway entrance, those are private parking spaces for the neighbor's home. The garage is to be used for ski gear storage only and is not available for vehicle parking.​​​​​​​ This home has a steep driveway and/or neighborhood access roads that require 4WD in the winter months. Ski shuttle service available during ski season.
