Great all around

The West is an ideal location for access to everything. This unit has a well equipped kitchen, well laid out living room with a murphy bed, and the king bed is wonderfully comfortable. Check in/out process was easy. Highly recommend!

Bait and Switch - Do Not Book Through VRBO

This unit is managed by Retreatia in Steamboat. They are a terrible management company with very poor ratings. Do not book through VRBO as you will pay additional fees and receive little or no support from VRBO in the event of a problem.I arrived at the Retreatia office to check-in for my 10 day condo rental. Their office is a mess with partially broken check-in kiosks and a team of unprofessional workers. In my case the front-desk attendant and the two workers slopping down ramen take-out on the couch were incredibly rude and dismissive when I simply asked about the additional terms and conditions they required me to sign. These terms and conditions were not disclosed on VRBO when I reserved the unit and my credit card was charged more than 5,000. Most of these additional terms were acceptable but I partially objected to the request that we clean the unit, remove all trash and clean all dishes or be charged a 300 fine for failing to complete our "check-out duties". None of that was disclosed on VRBO and I would have opted for a different unit if this had been disclosed. When I asked about this I was told to sign or they would refund my money and cancel my stay. That would obviously be a problem when I have traveled over 1,500 miles with my family. I contacted VRBO and they were completely useless and offered no real help. There are many options for condo rentals in Steamboat when paying 500 per night. Do not rent from VRBO or Retreatia.

Great location

Awesome location, just a short 2 min walk from the base and all the activities. My family and I loved the condo and the owner was one of the kindest people we’ve ever met! Definitely will be renting this condo again in the future.
