Front desk was very welcoming. Room clean and well appointed. Lovely water views. My only complaint was the soundproofing was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced in a nicer hotel like this. It sounded like my neighbors were in the room with me and I could hear every toilet flush from above and next door very loudly. I’m not sure if this was due to my being in what appeared to be a connecting room with a door.

This place isa drwam come true. For a nominal fee, you het useof all the spa facilities..staff is friendly, helpful and amazing! Hotel is old style Spanish architecture and gorgeous! Highly recommend!

The facility was highly recommended and was conveniently located for our purposes. The room was very comfortable and clean, but it could use some updating. Only negative of our stay was the first day; after traveling since very early morning, we went to the hotel restaurant (which was practically empty) for lunch. The food was good, but it took 35 minutes to receive our meals, a basic salad and a grilled chicken sandwich. Fortunately, we were not on a strict schedule, but the server had no way of knowing that.

Pillows were flat and useless, bed was uncomfortable, shower was broken, drain was blocked, elevator smelled like sewage and hallway smelled musty. Night check in staff was rude. Noisy toilet flush from upstairs. We checked out after one night.

Horrible room. This place smells like sewage water and it’s very old and ugly. Very poor quality and not worth the money. Save yourself time and money and go to Clearwater beach. You will regret your stay here.

Right in the middle of a walkable little town with restaurants, shopping. Very nice. Spa was a big plus. Everyone there (guest and employees) were very nice. Great get away, even if you live an hour away, like me!

Very old hotel. The Athena elevator had a really toxic smell in it. We had to cover our noses when we used it. There was mold visible on the walls. We put out the breakfast request before bed with our selections and time to deliver. They never brought it. I called them an hour after it was supposed to be delivered and they hadn’t even started making it. They weren’t even apologetic. They actually acted inconvenienced. So I just cancelled it. I would never recommend it to anyone. The check in was easy and they were nice though.

My daughter and I were there for 2 nights and it was HORRIBLE. First night we arrived, the first room had a strong smoke smell , so they agreed and moved us to another room, then that room had no hot water. The next morning we got a call that they were going to move us again because they had pipe issues. We were moved to a third room. When we came back to hotel Saturday night, we were exhausted to only see the bathroom floor was flooded. I was beyond tired to complain at this point and didn’t want to move for the forth time since we had a flight at 5am. When I brought up to the manager‘s attention, how inconvenienced this was to be moved three times in less than 24 hours, he said there’s nothing he can do about it, that he didn’t know anything that was going on. It’s so unfortunate how bad our experience was in safety harbor.

This year the only New Year's Eve entertainment was the $259 special event deal. There was NO entertainment in the regular bar/lounge area this year, like the last 2 years with the Latin ban from Tampa. That was very disappointing! Not everyone (especially older folks) can pop for $259 each.

New Year's Eve 2026! Great band but smaller venue and a few decorations.. Buffet was okay but much better in past years... Cocktails were good and staff was attentive with clearing tables. Alcohol and steps down to dance floor are not a good mix.😳. Our room was renovated and very nice. Buffet breakfast not worth the price. They were still setting it up @ 9:30 am. Food was tepid, and breakfast meats were like beef jerky. No butter or syrup for French toast that was not in a warming tray. No creamer on table for coffee ☕. We will rethink our next New Year's Eve party location..
