The property is lovely, staff are welcoming, food is good! Our building was musty smelling due to the pool being in that location. Would have loved an option for early morning breakfast on Sunday prior to brunch at 9am.

The small creek running right through the property was very nice. As well as the larger river with a view right from our room. The property is need of a major refresh. The first building/room that we were assigned smelled very strongly of mold and mildew. Just entering the building you experience a strong smell. That should have been my sign of what was to come. There were portable dehumidifiers and fans running in the hallways of the River Mill building. The pool (not warm if heated) is located in this building but the condition of the building and room was very disappointing. We opened the windows to help with the odors in the room and decided to mention it when we went for dinner at the main building. Our expectations were high for a nice dinner based on our review of the menu. The experience again was a disappointment with the food appearing and tasting like it was reheated verses cooked fresh. After dinner we went to the front desk to cancel our breakfast reservation and mention our dissatisfaction with the room. The hostess indicated we should have said something right away about the room and I certainly agreed but I also mentioned that they should not be renting rooms in that condition to a new customer of the resort. They did upgrade us immediately to another room in the other building where the actual spa is located which was definitely a nicer room. In summary the Inn has certainly lost it's lustre of days gone by.

Food was not that good.Breakfast, my wife had pancakes they were frozen pancakes. Terrible. Had eggs and home fries not good. Dinner my wife cannot have to much cheese.She wanted the salmon that was on the menu.The waiter said there was to much cheese witch it was not.My wife ordered the pork which she did not want. I gave half my salmon to her. I don’t mind paying for the meals if the food is good.Other than that the room was excellent with the pool sauna and hot tub excellent.expedia said the pool was closed and no small fridge.They had the fridge and pool was open. I don’t know if my wife and myself will comeback.

Good romantic night away. Pool/hot tub area was very dated but clean, rooms are clean, the halls in the buildings are quite old and need some love but still very clean. Will definitely stay again

Outside grounds are “picturesque”. Inside main building where we stayed was very “tired” and the room was not clean. Wine stains on night tables and floor was unswept. Disappointing. However, the staff were incredible. Positive and very professional. 5 stars goes to the restaurant food and team members!

Building we stayed in was not kept up, dirty carpet, windows looked like they haven’t been cleaned for months. It was a dark rainy night when we walked to main building for dinner and the lights were out. I do have to say the food was amazing.

Youth hockey tournament = not a relaxing spa stay

Super disappointing stay. We booked Ben Miller Inn and Spa for a relaxing spa like weekend. Instead the place was overrun by a youth hockey tournament. Both rooms beside and rooms above us. Pool packed with kids throwing balls, kids playing ball hockey in the hallways hitting balls off our door. Parents with coolers boozing in the hot tub. This group was partying all night long we couldn’t sleep. I cannot believe a spa would book a youth tournament. Also, one vending machine for the whole place and it’s broken, ice maker but was out of ice. I’d expect this sort of experience at a cheap hotel not a SPA!

The ben miller inn is historic in this area and the service by the front desk and restaurant was top tier I was however disappointed in something which may seem trivial but in my mind is attention to the details. The worn out plastic dollar store glasses in the bathroom and the cheap plastic soap tray. Again seems small but this inn is noted for upscale and its quaintness and this was enough to take me by surprise. It was my first stay and I was looking forward to it but the carpet is in poor condition on the stairs and staying in the main area by the stairs I was privy to a constant light source and all the conversations people had in the hall as the door was not fully sealed. Again I didn’t take that to heart as it’s an old building and it’s part of the quaintness of it. Just a be aware for your self and other guests, in the end I would stay there again but not for work when I needed to get a good nights sleep. But too the bed and bedding was luxuriously comfortable!! So that’s a toss up too!

Gorgeous view from the window in the room, comfy and clean. Walking distance to the river falls which is absolutely amazing. The dining room provides wonderful dinner. All stuffs we met were very friendly. Overall, the stay here is very enjoyable.
