The full lake view is worth the price. Other rooms appear to not have a wow factor. Private beach access could not be better for those wanting to go to beach. Appears to attract mature adults

The Landing charges luxury prices but delivers poor customer service and underwhelming amenities. If you want to stay in South Lake Tahoe near the casinos and Heavenly Village, you’re far better off at Margaritaville, Coachman, or the Marriott Residence Inn—all of which offer better service at a fraction of the price. Or better yet, head north to the Hyatt Regency in Incline Village. It’s only 20 minutes away but offers far better scenery, hospitality, and overall experience. The Landing also charges one of the highest resort fees in the area—for what is essentially a barebones property with no real “resort” feel. If you’re celebrating a special occasion, do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. This place is all cost, no care. Will not recommend.

First off the staff was very friendly. The beach access was nice. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We didn’t try the pool or hot tub. The restaurant was good but I would say that was are only reason I felt anything was not perfect!

Rooms are really nice and clean, the heated floors in the bathroom and heated toilet seat were amazing. Staff is very friendly I would suggest getting a lake facing room, else you view is their parking lot. Jimmy’s restaurant has limited vegetarian options but drinks are amazing! Overall if you prefer cabins over a modern nice room, this is your place! I would definitely stay here again!

Thanks! Based on what you shared, here’s a polished version of your review that maintains your experience and tone: ⸻ I booked this hotel for two nights with my husband. We were warmly welcomed with champagne, which was a nice touch—though I can’t recall the gentleman’s name, he was very kind. Unfortunately, the rest of our stay didn’t quite live up to expectations. We paid for their most expensive room to get a lake view, but what we got was a view of someone else’s balcony—not even a glimpse of the water. Definitely not worth the price. The hotel advertises a “free shuttle,” but what they don’t clearly tell you upfront is that you’ll be charged a $79.95 resort fee, which supposedly covers things like access to the pool and bikes—none of which were mentioned until we checked out Also, be sure to explicitly tell them if you don’t have a car. We were charged $30 per day for parking without being asked. Overall, the hospitality at check-in was lovely, but everything else felt overpriced and not transparent. Disappointing.

Love how dog friendly they are, dogs can go anywhere on the property but the fitness center I believe and they are even allowed on the pool deck and beach during the winter months! Love the room and the view was beautiful. Dog bowls for food at the restaurant Ana amazing drinks!
