Location wise the hotel is ideally situated in the centre of town and has its own car park. The car park is tight to navigate, however any vaguely competent driver will be able to cope with it.
The hotel certainly is in need of some sprucing up, the decor and furniture (with the exception of the bed) look like they've been there since the 80s or 90s. There were shoddy repair jobs on the bath/shower with excessive sealant bunged on, and the laminate on the bathroom mirror frame had mostly peeled off revealing the fibreboard beneath. The bed seemed fairly new and was comfy enough though.
My main issue was with the levels of staffing. When I arrived, there was no-one on reception. I eventually found a young lady working the bar who was covering reception for someone else who was on break. Unfortunately, as the bar was so busy, I ended up having to wait around 20 minutes until her colleague came back from his break.
My overall feeling was that the stay was not worth what I paid for it
