Was in need of face lift at the least. Bathroom door didn't close. Said they had a pool and thats why i booked there but the pool was undergoing renovations. The renovations didn't just start so they should have updated the pool status to no pool. Was no offer of compensation for not having a pool the kids were very upset. Rushed to get there early for the pool. Overall was painful process

Not recommended. Hot tub out of order (typical) and the area surrounding is a bit sketchy. Seems as though the hotel is housing a lot of struggling individuals in and out.

Staff was great, addressed my concerns. There was an attached gym and I exercised on two of the days I was there. Unfortunately I have stayed a few times and the hot tub seems to be always under repair. was not working . The restaurant has a great classic breakfast and overall dining experience was good. The waterfront view was exceptional and the reason why I love this classic historic hotel.

Lots of strange people surrounded the hotel and we literally didn’t feel safe. All the night people were banging the doors, screaming and fighting and running and nobody stopped them, we had the worst night sleep. The hotel was very old and not very clean specially the floor and carpet. We were 3 adults and paid for a 2 queen bed room , still they asked us to pay for the thirs person’s breakfast!! Overall we did not enjoy our stay!

Nice staff, upset that the pool was out of service. I pick hotels with a pool, have I had known, I would have booked somewhere else. They had 2 shampoos and no conditioner.

This place is old and dirty. Lots of vagrants hanging around at night. The front desk seems to be trained to say "no, sorry" to literally any question asked. Very loud throughout the night, with the train and people coming in and out at all hours. We had to stay on the fourth floor with our pets, also less than ideal. Just overall not a good experience.

This hotel was built in 1901 or around then, there have been absolutely no upgrades! The rooms were dirty, stained tub and toilet. The beds creaked every time u rolled over, only good thing was the view, unfortunately the windows were so. dirty u could barely see it. Pool and hot tub closed for no reason!

Very courteous staff, from front desk to security to wait staff in restaurant. Excellent views of the Lake and harbor and Sleeping Giant from our lakeside room. Very clean. The charm of a non-chain edtablishment.
