Six of us doing the Way of the Roses cycle route stayed a night at the Golden Lion. The rooms were large and comfortable, nice decor, excellent shower and toiletries. We had a delicious evening meal, and were impressed by the breakfast choices. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and accommodated our bikes overnight.

Fantastic place to stay in a really lovely town

Really clean and nice place to stay. Great food and a nice friendly atmosphere in the pub. My friend & I were doing the 3 peaks challenge the next morning and the hotel made arrangements for breakfast to be left out early for us so we could have something before we left.

A welcoming, relaxing stay

Welcoming and comfortable stay. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Golden Lion. A very friendly and well run place. The staff worked hard to ensure we and our dog had a fantastic break. The food was excellent and the room had all we could want.

Clean and comfortable rooms with good amenities. In the centre of settle so close to shops, restaurants and walking paths. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious with a good selection of options. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others
