The stay in general was excellent. The room was awesome. The staff super nice, and very helpful. I gotta say the only thing I didn't like was the hotel fees that I wasn't even told about until I got the bill on my credit card and had to call the hotel and ask why I was getting charged almost 200$ even though the hotel was already paid for in advance. Come to find out there's a hidden fee nobody said anything about. Was a bit disappointed 😞

They need to hire more people. The bathrooms are tiny. And one of the elevators was broken so there is a long wait time for the other one. The rooms are outdated in terms of needing outlets for phones, laptops etc so I suggest that you bring some long extension cords for your stay. If you are able to overcome these obstacles then the stay overall isn't too bad but I probably will book elsewhere in the future.

Ask for a room with a view. Ours was terrible-see photos. A/C not 100% cool. Only one working elevator for at least a week that we know. The elevator is super tiny and very slow. Be prepared to wait. A lot. The bed was comfortable and nice pillows etc.

Very cool place read comment about parking!

Only stayed 1 night before our cruise. It was a very cool place right in downtown and just about 4-5 blocks to the Public Market. It’s a bit of a hill to climb going & coming back so, know that. THERE IS NO PARKING FOR YOUR CAR!!! They don’t tell you that, even when you call. The valet fee is $59, but there is overnight parking about 2 blocks away for about $35 a night. Lots of 1 way streets. If you’re in front of the hotel & hotel is behind you, go to the 1st street to your left, go up that street about 2 blocks on the left, park there. Starbucks on the corner. The cruise port was about 20 min away so that was great. If you have an early boarding then you deal with rush hour traffic but it wasn’t horrible.

The hotel was unique and cool but the rooms were really small. The location is great and main attractions are walkable. I didn’t like that extra time, towels, toiletries, etc.. were extra $$

The Ups & Downs at Hotel Max

The Hotel Max has a great location downtown. The front desk staff are friendly, helpful ,polite and attentive. Unfortunately they did not know that as Silver VIP members, for each of our two rooms we booked, we were supposed to each receive a $21 hotel credit. A bit disappointing as bottled water was $7 a bottle and the resort fee $32. The rooms were both clean, modern, updated and nicely decorated. The one working elevator made it extremely slow trying to get to the rooms or down to the lobby. The complimentary beer tasting happy hour was a nice surprise. Hopefully, the second elevator gets fixed to help alleviate some of the problems we experienced during our one night stay prior to our cruise.

The walks are very thin. They are so thin we could hear the conversation next door The room was grest otherwise

Only one small working elevator. (try going to lobby within four hours of checkout time. No room service, had to pay delivery for the one outside restaurant. No decaf coffee. Limited TV. Closet was teeny. Two small drawers for two people.
