This is a fantastic place to stay in the Historic District of Savannah. The home and rooms are beautiful, comfortable and quiet. Free parking, nice Continental breakfast item selection and only a block to Forsyth Park, the areas best public park/square.

5 Star Godley Manor

Throughly enjoyed our stay at Godley Manor. It’s about a 20 min walk to River Street but it was an easy route and felt safe at night. Free parking and the continental breakfast was a plus. Bed was comfy and area was quiet at night.

We'd gladly return to Godley Manor on our next visit to Savannah. It was just delightful. It's a beautiful restoration in a lovely, safe and convenient neighborhood and is reasonably priced. We enjoyed its historic charm, interesting guests, personable and friendly staff and the local ambiance. Our downstairs room was spacious and comfortable, albeit a bit damp despite running the AC continuously. A friendly suggestion: The unenclosed tiled shower had a lot of overspray. Thís inevitably resulted in a wet bathroom floor that was both a fall hazard and difficult to dry. Some rethinking wouldn't hurt. Thanks for a lovely week!

Nice surprise!

Being greeted warmly at the front desk sets the tone for the rest of the stay. Pam welcome us and took the time to explain some particulars of our stay and showed us around. Despite the stairs into the place and up to our room, everything was very nice. A pleasant breakfast started off our day in a nice way. The location of the manor is about a twenty minute walk to the center of town, but along the way there are beautiful tree filled squares and benches where one can sit and enjoy the passing scene, Savannah is a lovely town. The Godley Manor is a very nice place to stay.

This was such a lovely place! Beth and the entire staff were welcoming and accommodating. I truly loved the fact that I stayed at a historic home rather than a traditional hotel. The Godley Manor is walkable to downtown; everywhere is less than a mile walk, 15-25 minutes, depending on where you’re going. If you’re looking for a serene, beautiful inn with that Southern charm, The Godley Manor is it. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a truly lovely stay at the Godley manor. It was so much better than a basic hotel room. The staff were so nice and the room was perfect. The bathroom was clean and nice with soft large towels. We walked to restaurants and shopping and left our car in the lot most of the week. A Savannah Gem!
