Lovely polite friendly staff. spotless spacious room with a pretty view & lovely little touches throughout the hotel. A clean and welcoming hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable with a good bathroom (though I would have welcomed a shaving mirror). The lounge and restaurant were pleasant. Breakfast was good but I was less impressed by the evening meal so went elsewhere as a result. Spa facilities were a welcome bonus. Great setting, particularly for local walks. Beautiful views. All in all, highly recommended.

When we arrived the reception staff was so lovely. We were travelling with my 10 month old son and they were so kind and attentive to him. It was so appreciated. The room was great, nice big bed and a cot for my baby. I like that the shower was separate from the bath too. I used the spa. Sauna and steam room are great and the changing rooms were clean and well equipped

We went for relaxing night away and we coulnt fault the hotel , the staff were friendly and the spa was very nice . Our room was very clean with a nice view. The only complaint was the pillows were very flat /hard apart from that it was very good .

The reception staff were so friendly and always happy to help. Lovely to have access to a small spa after a day of walking, nice hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam room. Good range of drinks at the bar. Free parking is a bonus and location was great only a 10min walk from Grasmere and a bus stop close to the hotel to reach Ambleside, Keswick and Kendall. Only thing that really lets the place down is the stained carpets!

The Daffodil Hotel is a really decent hotel, we came for our little honeymoon. Room was very clean, reception staff very welcoming and the beds are comfortable. We loved the view from our window of the lake and hills. Gorgeous location! Only issues was we had no fridge in our room, not having somewhere cold to store our 'bottled gifts' we brought from our wedding was disappointing. Also the reception lounge bar was closed constantly, its a shame as we fancied a nice cocktail and snack to celebrate, the actual restaurant was a bit too pricey for us.
