If you're thinking about escaping to Sarlat-la-Caneda, there is a decent number of available hotels. Pick from any of the 15 found within 5 kilometres of the town centre.
Set off on a walk around Place de la Liberte in the morning, and watch the local residents as they prepare themselves for a new day. Hôtel La Hoirie and Hôtel de Compostelle are great places to stay if you would like to be close this attraction. If you're feeling very quiet and contemplative, explore St-Sacerdos Cathedral. Rest your head at Hôtel la Couleuvrine and Hôtel Saint Albert and you can visit this hotspot as much as you like.
Let's get real, lots of people who travel don't like blowing the budget on accommodation. Sarlat-la-Caneda has a good range of budget accommodation options. The Logis Hôtel Montaigne and the La Clef des Songes are a couple of the most booked options. Some other lower-cost hotels include the O Clair de Lune and the Hôtel de la Pagézie.
For some alternatives, try the Hôtel Clement V and the Hôtel du Centenaire. They are 20 kilometres and 17 kilometres respectively from the center. Others are the Manoir d'Hautegente, 25 kilometres away, and the La Villa Romaine, 7 kilometres.
If you want to go to some nearby cities, check out Saint-Vincent-de-Cosse and Cenac-et-Saint-Julien. Head 10 kilometres to the southwest of Sarlat-la-Caneda and you'll discover Saint-Vincent-de-Cosse. That said, Cenac-et-Saint-Julien is 11 kilometres to the south. Saint-Vincent-de-Cosse accommodations are the Hostellerie Maleville and Hôtel du Château. The L'Esplanade and L'Oustal de Vézac are some of the better ones in Cenac-et-Saint-Julien.
