This was a nice stay in a good part of Santorini for exploring, and has an amazing view! The owner was helpful in meeting up with us and carrying luggage to the location. The room size was a little small, but for the price we paid I did not mind. The bathroom door provides privacy but isn’t a full door that seals so just be aware if you are staying with someone and would be uncomfortable with them hearing you use the restroom. I saw other reviews about the bathroom size being small and while true it is definitely still usable and wasn’t an issue during our stay.
We came for the view and this place did not disappoint. We were in #2 apt. Small one queen bed with a balconi that fits 2 chairs and a small table. The bathroom was tiny as well, but that is typicalfor Santorini. There is no access by car so the host met us at the street and showed us to our room. He told us about the good local food and night life. He was even helpful when someone was flying a drone above us on the property. My complaints and the reason for the 5 stars are the shower head bracket is broken and as such, you have to hd the shower head while showering. Lastly, the mattress was thin and very firm. My wife and i are side sleepers and constantly turned when our hips started hurting. Also, there was no box spring. Only a concrete base that is slightly upturned at the head.
The best view in santorini! Thanks so much to Chris for an amazing stay! Great communication, was waiting for us to arrive and helped take our luggage to our accomodation. He organised our transport to and from and also tried to assist as my bf fell very ill while we were there.
The location is insane, the room was amazing we had shade in our pool but next time we would probably choose a bit bigger of a room :)
The maid was also very kind and helped clean the room for my partner.
Right by the bars and shops..but most importantly the view..you cant get anything better they also have a viewing platform!
Also breaky included we loved the resturant and the older man who served us breakfast every morning he was the sweetest :)
My only recommendation is a bigger toilet..which was so tight between the shower im not sure how my partner managed to fit lol and secondly it would be so cool if they had a few chairs or loungers on the viewing platform incase people are checking out or want to stay outside there rooms :) as that view is absolutely beautiful
The plunge pool was really nice on hot days to sit in and relax. They accomodated our early arrival which was appreciated. Over all the place was clean and the views amazing. Chris was really nice and answered any questions or concerns we had quickly. Overall it was a good stay. Only thing that could be an issue is the shower/bathroom is small and hard to maneuver in so i wouldnt leave anything you dont want to get wet inside while showering.
The view is great. 60 steps downhill to get to the unit.
Breakfast was great (unfortunately is the same every single day, with no variety). Also, it comes ONLY with one cup of coffee. if you want another cup of coffee it costs you 5 Euros. It has a great view from the restaurant too.
The property was not easy to find but overall I was very pleased with the location. It has a beautiful view and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good.
The room I was given was very small it didn’t have the famous view as my small balcony was just facing into the south... my rooms entry was directly across from the kitchen so my room was hot and there was always noise. There is no internet. Wet disappointing stay.
Booked the Katris accommodation but at check-in they said they had no rooms even though we booked and paid for the room 8 months ago through Hotels.com , and to make it worse Hotels.com guaranteed our booking.
They found us another room in a nearby hotel and this was run down, dirty, no Air-conditioning, tv not connected, spa that had algae, and the bedding was dirty. They said that this was a better room than the one we booked.
Katris accommodation must scam others as I read a similar review that almost described our experience to the letter.
Personally I would look elsewhere so you don't get the same experience as us.
I gave them a 1 star
The room has the perfect view of the famous Santorini sunset and caldera (by the cliff), no need to go find a place for cocktails/ drinks while watching the sunset just open your bottle of wine or champagne and you are all set. The place also has a private Jacuzzi (only for 2 person) which is perfect for a dip after being out in sun during the day. The room has the basics of what you need during your stay. There is no wifi connectivity in the room though it was advertised that there should be an internet.
It is pretty central and it is walking distance to the main square, cable car, etc. however, the place is difficult to find due to lack of instructions/ directions how to get to the apartment. We have to ask a few strangers for help in finding the place. And since the room is by the cliff, there are a few flight of stairs you have to go through and it was challenging if you have a luggage as there is nobody available who can assist you.
I must say the breakfast is fantastic! It is served in a restaurant (Idol) with a great view however, only from 9am onwards. It would be nice if you can have it a bit earlier for you to start your day/ activities early as well. Overall, I think the place is a good value for money and would consider staying again in the future.
I sincerely hope you do not ever book this property. My reservation was for 2 rooms with sea view, 3 nights from July 4-7. We moved out to another hotel after spending the first night.
LACK OF COMMUNICATION: There is NO real reception which means it’s almost impossible to communicate with the hosts. While I was able to connect with them and arrange for an airport pickup for 5 passengers, when the taxi arrived, it couldn’t fit all of us. We had to take 2 cabs.
DIFFICULT TO ACCESS THIS HOTEL: just like any other hotel facing the caldera, this one requires you to take several flights of steps up from the base where the vehicles drop off. We were promised a porter to carry our luggage but we were told AFTER being dropped at the base that there is no porter available. The nasty woman (seems to be the host) asked 4 adults who were in their 60s to drag their own luggage while she rushed to her party.
ROOMS STINK/AC BROKEN: One room (#6) had no air conditioning and the windows were broken. Second room (#3) had water dripping from the air conditioning.
INSECTS FLOATING INSIDE POOL: All pictures show that gorgeous little private pool. They’re so misleading. The pool had dirt floating, and I could tell it wasn’t cleaned in months since it gave off a terrible smell.
Please think hard about what you want to trade off just for the location/price.

Great view. Didn’t like the algae growing in the jacuzzi. Didn’t like the air conditioner banging throughout the night. Couldn’t shut the door to the front or to the patio without lifting the door. You pretty much have to be super skinny to fit in the shower, but don’t touch the hot water it will burn you thru the faucet close to the knob. This is all in room 5, can’t speak for the other rooms.
Without directions finding the waitress you have to talk to , just to get you to your room is two restaurants away. Breakfast was great!
Disgusting dirty and smells like cat urine. The air conditioning, hot tub and the shower did not work. And this place is impossible to find. There’s no reception, we called a few times with no luck, asked around and walked back and forth for 1 hour and 20 min. DO NOT GO THERE!
