This charming villa enjoys a privileged location overlooking Cala Esmeralda bay and offers stunning sea views from its rooftop terrace. Cala Esmeralda is a beautiful bay in the resort town of Cala d'Or on Mallorca's southeast coast. Two wonderful beaches are less than a 10-minute walk away. In the heart of the small town, just a 12-minute walk, you'll find a pedestrian zone with shops, open-air bars, restaurants, and cafes. The renowned and fashionable marina is also worth a visit.

Villa Gran Mar is built in the traditional Ibizan style and has recently undergone a complete renovation. A short path leads through a small garden with a lawn to the house. The entrance hall opens into the spacious, bright, and comfortably furnished living/dining room with a fireplace. French doors open onto the pool area and another private terrace, a perfect spot for al fresco dining. The villa also features a modern, fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine in the garage. From the living room, you enter a beautiful double bedroom with an ensuite shower room and access to the terrace and pool area. A second bedroom is located on the opposite side of the living room. The third bedroom has two single beds pushed together and a small ensuite shower room. From the dining area, steps lead to the first floor, where you'll find a sitting area. Large French doors offer fantastic sea views and access to the terrace, which also features a seating area. From this living room, you can access the third bedroom with an ensuite shower, which also has access to the terrace.

The terrace is divided into two levels and furnished with sun loungers and dining options. The beautiful kidney-shaped pool has a shallow end and child-friendly steps. From here, you can reach the sun terrace with its breathtaking sea views – an ideal spot to enjoy your private sunbathing.

Air conditioning is available during set hours: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

The legally mandated eco-tax is not included in the room rate and will be charged separately.

Lovely property in a quiet location

Very nice property in a good location, walking distance to 2 lovely beaches and to Cala D’or town. 5 min taxi ride to the marina which has great quality restaurants. Some minor suggestions which would add to the quality of the property - Could do with upgrading the quality of the towels provided and also adding pool towels. - The kitchen could do with some additional equipment eg only 2 wine glasses available and limited number of serving bowls. - the safe did not work - the coffee machine did not work

Schlechte abgenutzte Jugendherberge am Meer - sehr enttäuschend!

Das Haus macht von aussen zunächst einen guten Eindruck. Beim Näherkommen fällt jedoch gleich auf, dass alles sehr abgenutzt und verbraucht ist, von der fleckigen und vergilbten Liegenbespannung bis zum abgeplatzten Lack an den Gartenmöbeln. Der Pool war auch ohne Benutzung schnell dreckig und eigentlich dauerhaft im Schatten. Die Haustür ist eine bessere Zimmertür. Innen sind die Räumlichkeiten recht spärlich eingerichtet, die Möbel sind durchgesessen, schmuddelig und verblichen, die Sitzkissen am Esstisch voller Krümel. Die Küche ist eher ein OP Saal, das Geschirr im Schrank fanden wir schmierig und fleckig vor. Mit dem ersten Glas habe ich ein schwarzes langes Haar aus dem Schrank gezogen (wir sind alle blond). Eine Ameisenstraße baut sich nach jedem Beseitigungsversuch im Wohnzimmer täglich wieder auf. Ein Zimmer im EG konnten wir nicht benutzen, weil der Putz blätterte und ein Schimmelstreifen an Wand und Decke war und auch die Luft stockig roch. Alle Badezimmer waren gelb verkalkt, sämtliches Metall hatte Roststellen, in den Wischecken schwarzer Belag, alle Steckdosen staubig. Die Toilettenbürsten ekelhaft gelb braun und z.T. mit Toilettenpapier verschmutzt. Die Plastikteile in den Duschköpfen bröseln allesamt beim Duschen ab. Die beiden weiteren Schlafzimmer unten sind eher Kinderzimmer, abgewohnte Möbel voller Macken und vergilbt. Beim Verschieben der Nachttische konnte man den Dreck von 2 Jahren finden und sogar Fingernägel Abschnitte. Die Ameisen tauchten auch in den Kinderzimmern auf. Oben 2 helle Räume und ein Bad, ein Balkon mit Blick aufs Meer. Terrassenmöbel allerdings mit Stockflecken. Bad und Schlafzimmer schienen saniert zu sein, allerdings unfachmännisch. Der Durchgang auf eine Terrasse beim Bad wurde durch einen Zettel an der Tür untersagt- warum, wissen wir nicht. Die Balkonfenster Griffe waren nur halb angeschraubt. Den Router für WLAN mussten wir erst Resten, um überhaupt WLAN zu haben. Ich habe mich durchgehend in dem Haus geekelt. Die Zwischenreinigung hat eigentlich nur neue Handtücher gebracht, obwohl eine Reinigung angekündigt war. Finger weg!
