"Nice hotel in an excellent location. "
Stayed for 2 nights. A bit noisy at night and no water on the first morning but the location is excellent.

"very Venitian"
The description of the room was accurate. It was smallish with very Venetian style furniture (even with a couch which was extra to expectations). Perfectly clean and comfortable. Price I paid was excellent. But I met another guest whose room was apparently very poor and who paid far more than I did! There was a very comfortable hotel lounge and a bar. There were 2 computers with free internet access (as well as WiFi for your own equipment). Reception staff were very helpful and spoke good English (and other languages). Breakfast was included in the price and better than I expected. The hotel was very close to Piazza San Marco so convenient for all tours and tourist attractions.

Pocket Guide: Venice San Marco Hotels

San Marco (St Mark’s) is quintessential visitors’ Venice. The Piazza San Marco, famous for its pigeons, campanile, basilica, Palazzo Ducale (Doge’s Palace) and expensive cafes, is unmissable. The waterfront views are legendary and more gondolas depart from here than anywhere else in the city. In season the Piazza teems with day trippers though just a block or two away streets are quiet and offer more museums and palaces to explore.
