Great place and Price!

My first time to stay at Microtel. Overall, I was impressed with the cleanliness and friendly staff. Our only complaint as with most hotel AC's, the room felt warm during the night and the noise level of the unit kicking on had an extra grinding noise added to it. Other than that, a great stay, great price and will go back.

1 night stay for medical procedure

I have never stayed in a Microtel, so I am not sure what I was to expect. What I walked into was a tiny room ,I guess the name fits, with very thin walls. I could hear adult themed sounds next door along with their conversations after. The room served it's purpose for 1 night...a bed and restroom. No thrills, no extras, no soap shampoo, etc, but it seemed clean. Would I stay here again? Probably not unless I am in a pinch. Would I have my family stay here? Absolutely not.

Pet friendly but said there was a $20 cleaning fee, checked in and it was $50 cleaning fee. Put my cost up over &150 for the night. This low cost, minimum dollar investment to build motel is not a $150 night room. More like $50 a night room

Misleading Ad

We came to San Angelo to see our son, who was at military training for a few months, so I was trying to find a room for 3 people since he was off for the weekend and could stay with us. The only room left was a handicap accessible that was supposed to sleep 4 people. It had 1 Queen bed in the picture, so I assumed there was a soda bed in the room, even though there was no picture. But when we got there, they said there was only 1 bed, and there wasn’t a sofa bed, even though Hotel.com said the room slept 4. They couldn’t move us to a different room cause everything was booked for the weekend cause the San Angelo Rodeo was going on. Needless to say we were disappointed cause our son couldn’t stay with us, and we had to drive him back to the base every night cause he didn’t have a car. Just beware of the ads and call the hotel yourself to make sure that they can accommodate your needs. Otherwise we would have given the hotel a 4 or 5 star rating.

If they want to advertise free breakfast they should offer some hot foods other than make your own waffles. My wife is gluten free and there was virtually nothing she could eat other than an apple.
