Worst hotel ever
I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Motel 6 in San Angelo, Texas. My visit was unplanned and made under extremely stressful circumstances as my dad was having emergency heart bypass surgery, and I needed to be at the hospital by 5:30 am. We arrived at the motel around 1:20 am, exhausted and just hoping for a quick rest before the long day ahead, but we were met with a horrifying experience.
The moment we opened the door, we were overwhelmed by a disgusting odor that smelled like manure and cigarettes. It was unbearable. To make matters worse, when my husband went to use the restroom, he discovered there was no toilet seat. How is that even possible in a functioning hotel room?
I called the front desk, desperate for a solution, but the response was underwhelming. The staff had us go down to get another key for the room next door, which had a similar strong odor. At least this room had a toilet seat, but we ended up sleeping in our clothes because we didn’t feel comfortable enough to even relax. We checked out first thing in the morning, as we couldn’t wait to leave.
The property itself was in terrible shape. The trash outside was overflowing, and the area seemed completely neglected. The room was filthy with stains on the walls, broken fixtures, and even a yellow pill left behind by a previous guest, which could have easily been an illegal substance. I shudder to think what could have happened if a child had found it. I want a refund.
