We had an exceptional stay at Villa Florentine and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Set in a stunning renovated convent, the room was impeccably clean and the staff consistently attentive. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of variety and healthy options. The steps leading to the hotel helped offset the delicious meals of Lyon. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

This property is very pleasant and comfortable. Staff are efficient and friendly. The rooms are well appointed and quiet. Food is well prepared and quite good. Wine service is very good. We would definitely return. Availability of casual food is restricted to later evenings in the week but local restaurants provide other good options. The parking and grounds are perfect.

Wonderful old wooden building with completely redesigned rooms. Had a two level “junior” suite which wasn’t junior by any means. Beautiful Juliet balcony overlooking the city.

The property IS NOT CONVENIENT for those who have problems walking. The property sits on top of a hill and there are MANY steps to walk up or down to get to the property. The day before our departure, we found a street with no steps, but the climb was very steep.

We enjoyed our stay at this fabulous 5 star hotel in early September 2025 The hotel is situated on a hill with panaromic views over the city of Lyon. On arrival we were given complementary drinks to enjoy the view from the terrace. Our BMW was perfectly parked for us by Quinto. The hotel receptionist Luna made us feel very welcome and persuaded us to dine in the Hotel’s Michelin Restaurant which was needless to say, enjoyable. The rooms were large and modern. The heated outdoor swimming pool, pool area with parasols, and sauna , have beautiful views over the old city of Lyon and its Cathedral. These spa facilities are open late – possibly 24 x 7 which is refreshing for those who want to relax and enjoy the vista. We were impressed by the outstanding service provided by the hotel staff througout our stay and would like to say a special thank you to the charming Danish Manageress – Anne. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff was incomparable! So incredibly helpful and accommodating! Anne was very thoughtful, friendly and, above all, helpful!! The hotel was beautiful, the staff were friendly but they did not offer us any kind of service in terms of things such as a shuttle in or out of town, there were bikes in the foyer but they did not offer or explain them to us. They did not show us around the hotel or show us the spa or restaurant. There were a lot of people working but they mainly just smiled and greeted us and asked us about our day, they were polite and friendly but not much more.
