It was just ok.

We arrived at the hotel a few hours early after an overnight bus ride from Hanoi (check-in was at 2 PM), so we had some time to kill. The lobby was chaotic, and we were surprised to see the staff completely unbothered as a mother fed her child on the pool table. We even opted for a massage to pass the time, but unfortunately, no refreshments were offered while we waited—which would’ve been a thoughtful gesture. While these may seem like small issues, details matter in the service industry. The lobby, in particular, gets extremely crowded—children running around unattended, parents not intervening, and staff doing little to maintain order. The view from the hotel is undeniably magical, but overall, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. One example that stood out: it was raining, and I asked to borrow a second umbrella (since my wife was using the one provided in our room). Instead of simply helping, the staff had to verify with housekeeping whether the original umbrella was in use—which felt unnecessarily rigid and inconvenient. In the end, I’m giving this place 4 stars, but that’s being generous. The little things added up, and unfortunately, they detracted from what could have been a much better experience.

Such a wonderful resort with amazing views of Sapa. A must stay if you are here. You will not regret it! The breakfast buffet is delicious and the infinity pool is awesome. The staff members Louis and Lilia were fantastic, kind, and helpful. I totally recommend this place.

I liked the pool and food set up and views I did not like the lack of communication about using towels for water only and charging me for a hand towel or not cleaning the mirrors The comforter was damp both times they “cleaned” the room LEO was very personable and helpful great customer service nicest person I met at the resort

We're at Room 815 where the view is awesome including the Fansipan Tram bridge. Catcat village is around 15 minute walk downhill. The whole resort staff including Louis Tin we're very helpful and friendly. Excellent hotel service.

We stayed one night and spent two full days at Sapa Cat Cat Hills Resort & Spa. Overall, it’s a beautiful and peaceful place with stunning views and well-maintained rooms, we stayed in two and both were lovely. However, something felt missing in the overall experience. A few tips: if you arrive early (common due to train times), there are showers available until check-in at 2pm. We didn’t know this and paid extra for early room access, which was okay, but could have been avoided. I used the spa and booked a 1hr 45min treatment, but had to stop after one hour as the therapist didn’t seem well. I wasn’t charged fully, but the situation wasn’t acknowledged, which felt disappointing. It was also my birthday, which I mentioned, but there was no small gesture or recognition. I usually travel on my birthday and it’s nice when places take note, even something simple. Service could improve, possibly due to a language barrier. I requested towels that were missing and it took hours to receive them. Also, our room had a window left open, letting in many mosquitoes. I reported it and eventually received help, but felt my request was initially dismissed. If you have mobility issues, ask for rooms near the front. In all, it’s a great place with potential, just wish the service matched the beautiful setting.

Awesome location with excellent accommodations. Best buffet breakfast of the four hotels we have stayed at in Vietnam in last three weeks. Front desk and Hotel managers extremely attentive to our requests. My wife, who is Vietnamese, spent hours talking to them for guidance about everything!

The hotel is nicely built and has a nice view, but in my opinion they have a big issue in management. The room is very dirty and full of insects, we also had a lizard in our room. The staff need proper training as they dont know how to deal with tourists and dont know what customer services is. The breakfast doesn't have options and the quality of the food served is not so good. We were only able to eat egg all the time we stayed. Sapa is a beautiful place, but staying at this hotel ruined our visit completely. I highly recommend avoiding this place if you want a peaceful holiday with no issues. I tried to speak to the management twice while i was there but didnt even feel that they understood what delivering good service is, so i thought there is even no point of explaining..... i found it so weird once when i saw the hotel manager sat in the restaurant having breakfast while guests are still there instead of him making sure everything is ok....
