8/10 Good

This house is old and needs repair. Ie the hot tub was not functional. A few things broken and lots of bugs! However, those were discussed with property manager and they made it right. They were quick to reply and communicate with us. If you can get past the fact that it is an older cabin, the stay was otherwise good. It is in a neighborhood on gravel road but very private and quiet and serene, which was nice. They accept pets and our dog loved the huge yard and the river front which is a walk, but not that far, from the house. The house is quirky and has cute touches to it such as art work and some cabin decorations (ie bear themed outlet covers). We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit (did not use the one by the river or the provided kayaks). The basement with game room was nice and would be great for families. Lots of games as well. The bunk bed downstairs is a tad small for an adult but would be great for kids. The kitchen was well stocked (bring your own matches or fire starter if you want to use fire pit or indoor fireplace.) and we were able to cook meals comfortably. There’s no ice machine or water from the fridge but the water from the sink tasted just fine! The back screened porch is nice but will be nicer when they fix one of the screens. They provided a lot of towels and per products and linens which is always helpful. It seems there are someHiking trails around but we ventured to skyline drive and some other places that were only 20-30 minutes away.
