Loved the no frills but luxe vibe. Perfect for travellers who prioritize maximizing their experience in the city instead of maximizing bedroom square footage. That said, the beds are perfectly comfortable! My husband and I stayed in a "Hub" room and had plenty of space to sleep. We were able to fit 2x carry on suitcases and 1x check-in suitcase, but be aware you can probably only open one at a time. If you're a woman on the 4th floor you really luck out with a gorgeous bathroom view! The common space is beautiful and the wristbands they use for everything (opening your room, buying from the self-serve bar, etc) is well-designed. The outdoor hot tub is a lovely touch but I do wish it were hotter! Two points to improve would be to offer some sort of cream/milk for coffee/tea at the self-serve area, and to fix the lockers - the door hinges are terrible and affect how easily you can lock the door. However, it's still a 5/5 based on the other amenities and general vibe.

We really enjoyed our first experience staying in a hostel. The city hub hosts and manager are super friendly and helpful. We had our breakfast included which consisted of yogurt, granola, jam , croissant, apple, juice and coffee. We enjoyed meeting other travelers of all ages. We stayed in a lower bed hub...bed is very comfortable, however not alot of room to move around and no chair. We did find the doors closing created alot of noise

CityHub Reykjavík is in a great location, very clean and as advertised. Pods were a new experience for us and very fun. Hot tub was clean and a nice addition. We chose to have breakfast included, which we ate in the common area but could be taken on the go. Drinks, coffee and other items available for purchase with the wristband used to access your pod. Nice amenities in the bathroom. Overall a great value and novel experience!

The space was clean and nice. A bit small for 2 people and bags but great for one night. All food, coffee, drinks were charged. The check in was not very smooth as there was no QR code from our Expedia reservation. The host was very helpful fixing the problem

It is the cheapest place but you split a shower, bathroom, and everything other than your bed with other people. The bar is expensive even by Iceland standards, but the staff is very very friendly.

I stayed twice on 2 different occasions and tried top and bottom bunks to compare. The bottom bunk is significantly better! U can sit on the bed and access all your stuff, I found the top a bit annoying and has less useable space even tho it’s technically the same amount of space. The first stay (2 nights) was peaceful and quiet - bottom bunk, second floor. The second stay was non stop thumping through the night and into the day (mercifully 1 night, top bunk, ground floor). I think people were jumping from their top bunks instead of using the little stairs. If u stay here please don’t jump from the top bunk - it’s really loud for all your neighbours! I used the lockers and the shared spaces, loved the wrist band system. It’s a really cool idea and reasonably affordable compared to other offerings - I’d stay again as a solo traveller and totally recommend.

All the staff I dealt with were fantastic! Very friendly & knowledgeable about the area. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and loved the vibe of the main hanging out area! Probably wouldn't stay here for a long trip, but it was perfect for my pre-night before getting on a cruise 😊

CityHub Reykjavik is friendly, convenient, visually striking, and fun. We adapted to the "sleeping pod concept." The pod is very small; our two small bags and a backpack dominated the floor space. The rest of the pod is occupied by the bed platform, which forms the wall and ceiling of an interlocking lower pod. If you have a broken leg or arm, ask for a lower pod. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the staff-summoned taxi, which arrived within five minutes to take us to the BSI Bus Terminal. From BSI, Fly Bus took us to KEF. It could not have been smoother conclusion to our Iceland vacation trip.
