My friends and I arrived a little after 3pm and were told there were no rooms ready, that housekeeping was behind schedule and check in time was 4pm. Ok, i understand standard check in time but how can you be sold out in this small town with not much going on? It was not like I was trying to check in at noon. The front desk clerk did not go out of her way to be welcoming or offer us anything while we waited in the lobby even though I told her we had an event to go to. She half a** tried to call housekeeping to hurry them up. Finally we were able to check in at 3:50 but this was after she completely disappeared from the front desk area. We left for our event and upon returning later at night the same clerk did not hold the door open for us, though I did for her! Also this is when the roaches made their appearance in our room. My friends saw a sizable one in the bathroom and there was a small one doing laps around the kitchen sink. Another small one which I though i had drowned kept coming back and climbing the faucet handle. When we left the next morning at 7am there were two clerks at the front desk and neither one of them even looked up at me when i was standing there waiting to hand them my keys, they were more concerned with the shift change. Finally the one took my keys. To summarize, the Residence Inn Danbury needs to do better in terms of customer service and cleanliness! This is definitely not in line with what one would expect from the Marriott brand
