The view of the harbor and the ships from our room was very nice The breakfast voucher was great also although I’m not sure that comes with every stay ? The neighborhood is rough right around the hotel. Lots of people walking around with no where to go and many people living in tents in the near by area The hot tub is like one you would have on your patio at home .

Nice stay, carpets need cleaning.

Very nice historical building. Security around building is good. We stayed on second floor, did hear the trains, and shouting in hallways. This is our second stay. Carpets in rooms could be cleaned

I flew my son to Thunder bay, as my son was boarding the St Lawrence ll Tall Ship . I requested a lake view. I was so excited to be able to see all of the Marina and docks. and the top of the tall ship I speak of. So many large tanker style ships on the lake. And they lit up at night. The staff at the desk upon my check in were so great to speak to. They knew I was interested in the history of the hotel so they shared stories. There’s a tunnel from Prohibition under the hotel. Cool. Large room. I liked the style. Clean. Well priced. Sure there are a few things like the back stairs up to the rooms that could be changed but. Only a few guests like me used them. There’s a wonderful walkway from the parking lot to take you down across the road. There’s a spash pad, and a restaurant there. And beautiful boats to look at. I ate twice at the restaurant in the hotel. The food was good and the staff are nice. Fast service. I met a former Sea Cadet like my son. Lovely waiter that waited on me. I was there by myself. But I had a lot fun. I hope this area continues to improve. And I wish this hotel the best. I will come back. It was just so interesting.

The hotel is in desperate need of repairs. The air in the hotel is musty. The carpets in the room look like they are as old as the hotel itself. We opted to wear socks and shoes at all times as there were mystery stains throughout the room on the carpets. The staff at checkout said they were aware of the stains and they were from a previous guest but they still booked us in that room. The main elevator was broken so were using what I imagine was a service elevator. This elevator was in poor shape and there was a line of people waiting for it. We opted to use the stairs and it was a good thing we did. A fellow guest on the stairs warned us against using the elevator as two people have already been stuck in it that evening. There were dirty tissues and spilled food in the stairwells that was only partially cleaned up during our stay. The bathtub was unhygienic. The white paint was peeling off revealing the original green tub underneath. This creates a breeding ground for germs and is a hazard as it creates sharp edges when it peels. Restraunt staff was kind but unable to properly accommodate celiac persons.
