Red Roof Inn - accommodation in Raphine

This is the perfect hotel for a stay in Staunton, especially if you are attending Shakespeare plays at the Blackfriars Playhouse next door. It was raining on Friday when we arrived and so was the perfect location to access the playhouse. We had a beautiful, clean room with a great view of the town. Also a bonus was that parking is free in the parking deck on the weekends. The parking deck shares an elevator with the hotel. So we don’t have to pay to park or find a parking spot on the street. Just park and leave your car for the weekend, with everything within walking distance. And though the breakfast is $15 per person, it was well worth it. Very nice buffet that included hot and cold items. Eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, oatmeal, grits, fruits, breads, etc. It feels more like a restaurant with friendly wait staff, than a typical free hotel breakfast. That being said, I spent less at this hotel than others in the area with free breakfast. This hotel definitely had the wow factor. We will be coming back.

The parking was easy and secure. The staff was exceptional - very welcoming and friendly. We had dinner each night in the restaurant/bar. Criana was wonderful. She made an excellent Passionfruit martini and was a wealth of information about the local area. We will definitely stay here when we're in the area again.
