Brockview House - Beautiful 4 Bed eco-property
Summary:
Welcome to Brockview House, a beautiful eco-property situated in a repurposed quarry in rural Somerset. Brockview House is a dog-friendly getaway offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life while still being conveniently close to the cities of Bath, Bristol, Wells and Glastonbury.
The Space:
DOWNSTAIRS
As you step into the home, you’ll be greeted by a striking hallway featuring stairs that lead to the upper level, a convenient downstairs cloakroom, and double doors that open into the main living area. These doors reveal a spacious, open-plan living, dining area, and a large, fully-equipped kitchen with all the modern amenities. Adjacent to the kitchen, you'll find a separate utility room, complete with a washing machine and tumble dryer, perfect for muddy boots and outdoor attire.
Additionally, there is a spare room which can act as a bedroom (using the sofa bed), an office or kids game room depending on your preference. This room has a TV (please note we do not provide game consoles).
UPSTAIRS
Bedroom 1 – Super King with ensuite shower room with toilet, dual windows and a balcony overlooking the valley.
Bedroom 2 – King bed with ensuite shower room and toilet
Bedroom 3 – King bedroom
Bedroom 4 – Double bunk beds which can sleep up to 4 people (suitable for adults / children).
The home also features a family bathroom, complete with a separate shower and bath. It is heated using an air source heat pump technology, which warms the house through underfloor pipes—providing a cozy, toasty feel underfoot, especially on those cold winter days.
Outside
Guests can enjoy the scenic views whilst relaxing in the luxurious hot tub. The garden also has a spacious patio complete with a BBQ and comfortable garden furniture. An electric car charging point is available at the property for your use.
The house is located in the Cookswood development spanning over 400 acres and set to encompass over 100 homes As of 2023 approximately 30 homes have been completed. As the site is still under development some areas may be restricted due to the ongoing work.
Guest Access:
You have access to the entire property and garden. There is a locked cupboard in the house which stores supplies and owners belonging.
The house also has parking up to 4 cars. 2 parked at the house and 2 parked at reception.
Other Things to Note:
While the house is completed, the wider site is still under phased construction. You may notice building activity elsewhere on the estate, but this should not affect your stay. The estate is a former quarry, and the terrain can be muddy, so we recommend bringing wellies or suitable walking shoes if you plan to explore the surroundings.
Please note this property is not a party/ hen do/ stag house as it is situated in a quiet, rural environment.
Please see below a few house rules:
★ No parties or events.
★ Please do not smoke in the house (inc. vaping & e-cigarettes).
★ Please do not wear shoes inside.
★ Please avoid making an unreasonable amount of noise, particularly after 11pm.
★ No candles/naked flames inside or outside.
