It would have been worth upgrading to a canal view room as my room faced the Main Street which was very noisy. There is no lift and very narrow stairs make heavy suitcases difficult. There is no aircon so my room was very hot.

Lovely quiet street with beautiful residences. Staff were consistently friendly & helpful. Great breakfast to start the day. Loved the continental style of the architecture & decor. Rooms are compact as you would expect in an “old city” location but well set up. Great location close to Rijksmuseum & Van Gogh Museum. Close to interesting shops & good choice cafes & restaurants nearby.
