Winding small streets with old or renovated buildings give you the feeling you are back in the old days.
No need for a car to see all the beautiful tourist attractions. Walking is a must!
Don’t forget to see Lello’s Bookshop. One of the most beautiful bookshops in the world! They say the story of Harry Potter was born here. Frequently J.K. Rowling went up here or sat down to write in de coffee shop Majestic in Rua St. Catherina. When you are inside you might even think you will meet Harry Potter himself.
Among the old buildings you will find traditional Portuguese coffee shops and if you are lucky the people will sing old traditional Fado songs.
Are you tired of walking? An electric powered Tuktuk located at the beginning of Rua de Tras, only 25 meters from the apartment, is waiting for you.
Just around the corner you can find the nightlife in Rua de Candido dos Reis and Rua da Galeria de Paris.
There are boat taxi’s that can bring you from Porto to the other side of the river Douro. The Porto wine caves can be found here. Sandeman, Kopke, Taylors, Burmeister etc. They are all there.
But you can also take a walk and cross the Ponte Luis as well on top of the bridge or on ground level. If you cross the bridge on top then there is at the other end an electric cabin lift who can bring you down, meanwhile you can enjoy the view of Old Porto.
You want a day rest at the beach? No Problem. Take the electric Tram from Palacio da Bolsa among the Douro to Foz de Douro. The trip itself is already an attraction.

Apartment is very clean. We were able to use the Garage closest to the apartment and safe to use. Wish we could have stayed longer. So much to explore and the location is perfect with everything you need steps from the apartment. Thank you Sebastian! Very accommodating for an early arrival as well.

We felt very safe at this location. It even had an outer metal security gate. The very clean apartment was perfectly located within walking distance of all the best restaurants, historic sites and grocery. The host had a very helpful folder of pertinent information that we found extremely useful. We had a water leak that the host attended to immediately. It was a great choice for us.

This Porto apartment was truly Amazing! It was the center of everything! Best bars, restaurants, shopping and sites right within a very short walk. Apartment was clean and spacious. So enjoyed opening the shutters on the wall of windows every morning and letting in the light and magic of the neighborhood! Also really loved the in person check in 'cause I am not the most tech savvy person. Thank you!

Lovely and comfortable apartment in a great location. We were a family of 3 staying for several nights. Sebastiaan met us when we arrived and give us a great introduction to Porto and things to do in the area, including restaurants and shopping. Everything was clean and comfortable. For those staying in the summer just know that there is AC in the common area but not in the bedrooms. We didn’t find this to be too much of a problem as there were fans in each bedroom, and you could prop the window open. We had a wonderful stay and thought it was a great apartment.

Porto Delight!

We had a fantastic stay! Sebastian has thought of everything and the apartment was fully equipped with all that we needed for our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the furnishings made me want to live there permanently! The location was perfect for walking to everything on our sightseeing list and so convenient to Sao Bento. I highly recommend and would stay here again - for a lot longer!

Terrific centrally located apartment

We loved this clean and comfortable apartment located on a quiet street close to everything we needed. Sebastian met us at the apartment to give us the keys and to show us the apartment, kindly adjusting his schedule as our arrival was delayed. Note that there is no street parking available at the apartment; although the listing mentions that parking is available, it is only available (for longer than two hours) in a nearby parking garage. Probably our naïveté to think otherwise.
