Summary:

The Alves da Veiga Rooftop is located in downtown Porto, just 2min away from Mercado do Bolhão. It’s a 200sqm loft with 2 bedrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs), 2 bathrooms (both downstairs), a spacious terrace and 2 balconies. It's full of light and space for up to 4 people.



You can park your car in our private parking space and take the elevator to the rooftop. The spacious terrace is ideal to relax after a long day and enjoy a bottle of wine while overlooking the Downtown skyline!



The Space:

Central location. 2min from Rua Santa Catarina (for shopping) and Mercado do Bolhão (for fresh fish and groceries) . 2min from the Bolhão subway station with connection to the airport through the Trindade subway station. Spacious. Plenty of light.



Ideal for 4 people. The upstairs bedroom can either be a 2 single or a twin bedroom, you choose. Please bear in mind that the upstairs bedroom does not have a bathroom, as it is located downstairs.



You have a parking space, elevator, AC, bluetooth speaker for music, a safe for your personal belongings, a washer / dryer and a fully equipped kitchen.



If you came for work there is a work desk, a printer and a super fast internet (500 download /100 upload via wifi)! We also have HBO, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.



The Alves the Veiga Rooftop is ideal for families or couples, long stays or short visits to Porto. Enjoy the sunsets on the terrace with a nice bottle of wine!



The Neighborhood:

The Alves da Veiga Rooftop is located in downtown Porto, right in the city center, only 2min walking from the Rua Santa Catarina (perfect for shopping) and the famous Mercado do Bolhão.



Around the apartment literally within a 200meter radius you will find bakeries, groceries, supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies, gyms, and the Bolhao Metro station.



If you want to grab a craft beer before heading home go to BOP Cafe and just next door, for a great typical portuguese meal, go to “Buraco” restaurant (5min walking from the apartment) or to SantiagoF for a Francesinha!

Getting Around:

If you plan to arrive by car, you will have a private parking space at the building. Just take the elevator to the 4th Floor and you will be home!



You are 2min walking distance from the Bolhão Metro Station (1 station away from Trindade station with direct connection to the airport) and from the main bus lines which can take you to the seaside.



From the apartment you are 15min walking to the river and Ponte D. Luis. Livraria Lello is 15min walking. Very close by there is a shop where you can rent bikes and bicycles.



From the airport, you can either take the metro or taxi/uber . If you take taxi/uber you will be at the apartment in 20min.



From Campanha Train Station, take Uber (5min) or the metro to Bolhão Station (3 stops and then 2 min walking to the apartment). From S. Bento station you can walk (15min) or take an uber (5min).



Within the city you don't need a car, just walk and lose yourself in the streets, that's what we do! If you do have a car you can use our private parking space located in the building.



Other Things to Note:

For your pleasure and comfort we offer you HBO, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video, for those moments when you are tired from a long walk and just want to cosy up in the sofa and watch your favourite series!



Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra steps to clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces between reservations.



Please note:

> The apartment is on the 4th floor, with elevator.

> One of the rooms is on the 1st floor and the other one is on the 2nd floor. Both bathrooms are on the 1st floor.

> The apartment does not have a reception. Guests are kindly requested to inform their estimated time of arrival in advance.

> Early / Late check-ins / outs may be possible, depending on availability. Nevertheless they must be organized with at least 48hours notice.

We (Nuno & Anita) live just next door, in the Alves da Veiga twin rooftop! We will personally check you in, but we also have a self check-in system in case it's necessary.

Beautiful apartment on quiet street but easy to walk all over Porto. Hosts had lovely, thoughtful touches throughout including Port, lots of guidebooks and list of local suggestions and even ear plugs! We would definitely recommend staying there to any friends visiting Porto.

Fantastic Place and Host

This was the favorite of the 3 locations we stayed on our vacation. The place was perfect and had a great location to get almost anywhere quickly. The host was super helpful and accommodating. It's hard to think of a better experience with VRBO than this one. I would recommend this property 100 Percent. Truly a gem!

Absolutely beautiful apartment in Porto!!

I have stumbled upon the most elusive creature in the world...a VRBO apartment that is more beautiful in person than it is in the photos! I didn't think this was possible, but it's true. This apartment is absolutely stunning and the wonderful hosts have gone out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The little things they do to make you feel at home - the bedside tables on each side of the bed complete with a power strip, the honor bar of drinks, the many hooks and shelves in the bathroom, the options of different types of pillows to sleep with, umbrellas to borrow, the list of restaurants and things to do nearby...all of it was done to make our stay as pleasant and cozy as can be. Add in the parking spot and the washer and dryer, and this apartment is darn near perfect. Nuno was the best host I've ever had, hands down. He went so far out of his way to make us feel welcome, I just can't say enough. He made our vacation in Porto an absolute dream! Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Great Property with a great host

This is a wonderful property within walking distance of all of the major attractions of Porto. It is on a nice quiet street with a market nearby to pick up food and snacks. The host, Nuno, is amazing and will ensure you are taken care of. The apartment Is clean, modern and has amazing light coming in with all the big windows. Hope I get a chance to go back.

Wonderful property

Nuno, the owner, was very accommodating and gave excellent recommendations on where to eat, what to do and was available for any concerns. The property is beautiful with 2 decks, comfortable living space and comfortable beds.The indoor market is only 3 blocks away and the Sé is a 10 minute walk. Everything in the apartment seemed new. Having a parking space in the garage was great. All in all a great experience!

Nuno is an incredibly gracious and helpful host and the apartment is very comfortable and well appointed. He has thought of so many details to make the stay feel like a home away from home. Beautiful and Modern Apartment in Porto

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful and modern apartment in Porto. Nuno is an excellent host and communicator. The check in process was very easy. The apartment is just as presented in the photos - spacious, well-appointed, clean and modern. We were also able to use the large outdoor patio on this fourth floor apartment. It is located on a quiet street with easy access to shopping and dining. Nuno is a wonderful host and we highly recommend booking his apartment when staying in Porto.

A lucky find for us… any maybe you too!

When you book an apartment online you never know what you’re getting. In this case, it couldn’t have been any better. Nuno was there to welcome us and as the owner, he really cares about the experience guests have. The apartment has everything and Nuno provided information on sights to see and restaurants/bars he recommends. He had extra electrical converters, a Bluetooth speaker and games for use plus TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. The multiple balconies with views were great for relaxing with coffee or a glass of wine. He also had a great selection of wines at different price points (all reasonable) so we didn’t have to go out for it. Multiple supermarkets nearby and a 5 minute walk to the best food market we’ve ever been to. Less than 15 minutes to the old town was convenient but you return to a quiet neighborhood. Nuno thought of everything to make for a great stay in Porto.

Exceptional!!

This place exceeded my expectations! Nuno the owner was so easy to communicate with and replied immediately as needed. The home was so pretty, spotless, and such a great location. We walked everywhere we wanted to go just trekking out from this lovely spot. The rooms were very cozy, the balconies were great added space to hang out in. And Nuno has the most amazing recommendations ready for us!! He set the bar very high for all of the amenities he offered to guests - included a detailed map of recommendations he created for us when we arrived. And the very thoughtful and clever "honor bar' which we availed ourselves of. I would highly recommend anyone stay here - you will have a lovely visit in all aspects. I would return without hesitation - thank you Nuno! :)

Flat is lovely. Mid century modern. V tastefully decorated Very conveniently located. Nuno the owner and his wife Anita super, u et helpful. Many many very well developed recommendations. Bright Spacious Condo.

Modern and conveniently located. Close to shops, restaurants and grocery stores. The bedroom faces the back courtyard of the building and was very quiet. Fully stocked kitchen, some cooking and laundry essentials provided. The host was very helpful and provided restaurants and sightseen tour suggestions. It was very easy to communicate with the owner via Whatsapp. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of linens and pillows were available ( good quality ) I recommend this vacation rental.

Paradise on the Rooftop

We had the most wonderful stay at Nuno and Anita’s beautiful apartment. It was a refuge from the busy city but so conveniently located. They were so helpful in ensuring we had a most fantastic visit to this gorgeous city. Highly recommend this accommodation!! Have rented many VRBO properties in a variety of places and this was top notch!! Many thanks dear hosts, and we hope to return !!

Great place with 3 outdoor areas near the city center!

We had a great time at Nuno and Anita’s apartment! It was within walking distance of the city center and the Douro River. And it was quiet! One couple was there for 11 days and the other couple for 4. We wished we could’ve stayed longer. Nuno and Anita were very helpful with everything - restaurants, sights and overall advice on Porto. When we come back to Porto we hope to stay again!
