I didn’t have breakfast so can’t rate. Had the happy hour prixe fixe deal which was reasonably price but frankly not that fantastic but they were short staffed due to a very bad traffic accident on the Hood Canal and the pizza I had tasted like one of the frozen types wi5 way too much sauce and gobs of cheese. The soup - tomato - was fine. And the dessert a chocolate fudge type cake was fine. The price was ok. BUT I loved my room. I wouldn’t come here for the food but the room was divine. King bed, huge room, soaker tub with a view of the harbour and a gas fireplace. MY MAJOR complaint was that the signage to the hotel was almost non existent coming from Port Townsend. There is a crucial junction of 101 South just as you head away from the turnoff to P Townsend and I got totally confused and continued south on 101. I saw the very obvious signs for the routes east, the direction I KNEW I should be heading but THOSE signs mentioned Kingston and FERRIES to Seattle amd Bremerton. But because P Ludlow is a tiny place no mention of it. SO TAKE that exit for ferries you drive through clearcuts for what seems like MILES with nothing but constant traffic and when I almost gave up I saw a tiny sign saying Port Ludlow (but before that the only other sign I saw was for Port Gamble which threw me off). Which was good but I was travelling alone and so locating tiny signs on a road with fast traffic is very hard at my age- 74! Next thing I know I am roaring across the Hood Canal!

The bar was very cosy and the staff were cheery and it was fun to sit in a comfy place having a drink especially for a solo woman traveller

This was our 2nd time staying and we were a little distracted this time. We were woken up in the morning to doors slamming shut - not sure if it was staff or other guests. Our stay included a Monday so we also were woken up by the garbage truck making its rounds around the neighbors next door to the resort. Our checkout was done by a staff member who couldn’t even be bothered to make eye contact.

Has a nice view of the water. Windows could use light blocking drapes. Blade blinds still let light in. My room faced (north) a community of home that give off light at night. The south side of hotel would be better if you're light sensitive at night.
