It was a pleasant stay and kids enjoyed the pool. It could have been better if we had good wifi as at times we got bored but happy for kids as they played outside.

Thank you for your online review. We are very pleased to know you and your family enjoyed your stay. We also understand your frustration regarding the WIFI and unfortunately, this is an area-wide infrastructure issue. Our team is always looking at ways to try and improve this issue from our end. We hope to welcome you and your family back to Middle Rock again soon.

Great stay. Studio cabins are a bit dated but very clean. Lots of things for the kids to do

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Middle Rock is ideally located so that guests have access to all the beautiful sights and great activities Port Stephens has to offer. Our housekeeping staff work very hard to ensure the cleanliness of our cabins are always kept to the highest of standards, and it is great to hear you enjoyed your stay. We hope to welcome you and your family back again soon!

Great for kids but the rest was a big let down

Pros: The kids facilities and pool are great
Cons: Fix the shower (who designed that?) and get a bed that is fit for a standard adult
Location: Great area overall with lots of lovely sights and viewpoints
We booked this accommodation based on the facilities available such as the pool, air matt, and park for our 20 month old daughter. They were fantastic it must be said but the accommodation was incredibly disappointing. The pictures on the website depicted a very different room than what you actually get. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. My wife and I are not exactly tall and my feet were hanging out the bottom. The bathroom was that small you could not swing a cat in it and as for the shower itself I am still confused as to how one is actually meant to shower in it. It was attached so high up that it sprayed out over the curtain, so it meant each and every time we showered we had to mop the entire floor as it was soaked. The mop stayed permanently in there. Additionally because it was so high it meant you actually could not even get the water onto yourself so the only option was to hold the nozzle in one hand and attempt to clean yourself one handed with the other. The bar/cafe also did not open the entire time we were there. It is not advertised as only option on select days.

Thank you for your review of Middle Rock Holiday Resort. Our resort style pool complex is always a popular area for our guests to relax and unwind, and we are happy to hear you enjoyed our park facilities. However, we are disappointed to hear that our accommodation did not meet your expectations, as our staff do work very hard to ensure all the accommodation we offer is always maintained to the highest of standards. Your comments have been forwarded to our maintenance staff so they may inspect the shower heads in our cabins. In future, please do not hesitate to bring any concerns you may have to the attention to our staff during your stay, so that we may find a solution that will ensure you and your family have a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay with us. In regards to the advertisement of operating hours for Rockpools Café Bar, this information can always be located on our website. Additionally, our electronic advertising sign located at our entrance also displays the café operating hours. Thank you again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.

For a quick getaway and when we planned on spending most of our time at the pool, this was a perfect fit. Cabin was a little snug (i.e. small) but we chose the cheap option so not complaining. Will go for a bigger cabin next time. Happy hour at the poolside bar was a bonus! Only disappointing thing was how expensive the laundry services were. Staff were outstanding- very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

Hi Tracey, Thanks for your great review of our park. Our staff work extremely hard to ensure that all of our guests enjoy their stay at our park. The resort pool area does have a great atmosphere; especially on a Sunday with the live music. Your comments regarding the laundry fees have also been forwarded on to Park Management as feedback. We hope to welcome you back to Middle Rock Holiday Resort again soon.

Thanks for your review of our park Les. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. Management are aware of the wifi connectivity and are currently working with the local service providers to have a high speed internet connection installed at the park. We hope to see you and your family back at Middle Rock again in the near future.

Staff were pleasant and helpful but it was the smallest motel room I have ever seen. No shelves and no chairs. Had to bring in the outdoor furniture. A big plus was the large comfortable bed. The grounds of the resort are very well maintained and are pleasant to stroll around.

Thank you for your feedback Marion. We are so pleased you enjoyed the extra room in the king bed. The motel room is designed for the overnight or weekend traveller and has basic furnishings. However, we have taken your comments to the owners for consideration and upgrading.

Great place for the kids

Pros: Pools, happy hour, licenced café restaurant onsite.
Cons: Some shelving in the bathroom to sit things on- toothbrush etc. There's no vanity top space.
Location: Lovely beaches & Nelson Bay very close.
We had a spacious Parkview cabin, very comfy. Park facilities are excellent for small children, beach is close by (walking track leads from back of the park).

Nice quiet place

Good place except that there is no phone reception. Im with optus and my wife is with virgin but we both had no reception and you only get 400mb when you check in then anything after that you'll have to pay for the wifi which is expensive.

It was a pleasure having you here Nyils and we are pleased you enjoyed all our new features. Free wifi is offered to all our guests. 200mb on 3 devices per night you stay. It is an ongoing issue with the telco's in this area to get mobile reception. Telstra is by far the strongest. But a weekend without mobile calls can be relaxing.

Nice bar area with good facilities.

We stayed in the Cabin for 2 nights. It is a really good location and it has a huge pool area. The convinience to see kids playing while we can enjoy a drink in the pool bar.
