I was checked into room 239 on Saturday, 18 Jan 2025 at approximately 5:30pm on the second floor and the rear of the property. I entered the room and a nauseating and overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke hit me in the face. It was overwhelming.
I went and reported this to the front desk. The male clerk at first denied that cigarette smoke was possible as it was a non-smoking room. I told him I wasn't staying in that room and wanted another one. I also told him if this room also reeked of smoke I was not staying there and wanted a refund.
The second room he assigned me too was room 240 on the second floor and to the front of the building. It did not reek of smoke but was barely clean. During the night we could hear the traffic from State Road 50. Very annoying. But later that night we were awakened to a very load verbal fight from the male and female occupant of room 238. we thought they would come to blows or shooting would start!
Needless to say, we packed up the next morning and left. I will never return to this hotel and will not rent a room from Quality Inn. This was not a "Quality" experience.
