This hotel is in my hometown, and used to be known as the nicest place to stay. Unfortunately, it clearly needs some maintenance, deep cleaning and management. I really wanted to be able to give them rave reviews, but that is far from the case. I travel often, and am easy going. That being said.. The amount of mold on the ceiling and around the bathtub in the bathroom was shocking. I would have insisted to change rooms if I had children with me, it was that bad. Check in was chaotic and unprofessional, and I knew they were totally booked. This was one of their best rooms. I quietly and gently mentioned the mold problem at check out and the staff were not concerned or apologetic at all. He seemed annoyed I even said anything. Besides that, the hallways and common stairways were filthy. The comforter had a very large tear. The parking situation is not great. The front desk only asks the make and State on the license plate. The large parking lot was packed the entire time, I had to park 3 building sections away from my stairway. Which was fine for someone traveling solo and able bodied, but would have been a nightmare with kids or Senoirs. There is a real lack of security, and it appeared that a few soft top convertable cars had been tampered with during the night. On the positive side, the view and location cant be beat! The bed rated a 10 in comfort, which is rare. I am bummed to say I wouldnt stay there again unless they have a change in management or major update.

This property is GROSSLY OVERPRICED for what you get. I paid a premium to stay here thinking they had a nice bar on the waterfront to relax in after a long day of driving. The bar was very empty, had 10-12 people. Yet, my wife and I were NOT ALLOWED to go in since they were "short of staff." I'm 71 years old and have never been denied to go into a bar since I was 18. What is going on here? Poorly managed staff and organization. I could have saved over $100 a night staying elsewhere which would have included a free breakfast. Nothing free here other than nice views. Go elsewhere!

Front desk rep wasn't friendly at check in. Called front desk and they had no idea of hotel's restaurant ph#. There was mildew in shower area. High hotel rate for a subpar inn. Red Lion isn't even a hotel, it's an Inn. Will not go return there and highly recommend others to go somewhere else.

The location was ideal for access to ferries, Olympic National Park, and a number of restaurants. The customer service was excellent. The only negative was mold in the bathroom shower tiles which shows some neglect for overall cleanliness.

I stay here frequently due to it's proximity to the ferry. There is a decent restaurant on site and ample parking. The building does not have an elevator. My room was spacious and comfortable with good bedding, soft towels and the usual under-window heating/air conditioning unit. Black out curtain did the job nicely. The room was large and well-appointed. Some of the bathroom tiles were cracked and needed to be regrouted, showing a bit of age. The staff was friendly and efficient. I always enjoy staying here, despite a few minor issues.

I expected more for the price. The room was clean, but very noisy. We had to knock on the paper thin walls at 11:30 pm and ask the neighbours to please be quiet. Also, we could gear the doors of departing guests at 5:30 am and on. Also, toilet ran constantly.

All I’m going to say is make sure you bring slippers. The floors were so dirty! I’d walk from the shower to the bed and my feet would be dirty again. I made sure to have socks on after I noticed and my socks got so disgustingly dirty. Also idk if they have a car show or what, but the majority of the parking spaces were taken up by old cars. So we had to park super far from our room. The hotel location was great. Very close to everything. Make sure you don’t buy a room with an outdoor entry. Your view will be a parking lot. Ask for towels right away since they don’t have a cleaning service.
