This is a beautiful 19th century castle converted into a charming luxury hotel. The lobby & restaurants are piece of history. Rooms are renovated, bathrooms are very stylish. The staff are very polite and hard working. The breakfast buffet is delicious and dinner is fine dining a-la-carte menu with fantastic choices. The spa is very nice and the swimming pool is great. Free hotel shuttle to the ski area. Hotel offered me free room upgrade = thank you for the surprise and generosity !! I will definitely come back again !!

Reception gave the wrong information about shuttle service which ended up costing us 70 francs in taxi (one way). Here too, we were wrongly told it would cost 45 francs. The rest was good.

When we arrived at the hotel, everything initially seemed very nice. During check-in, the staff asked if we wanted to store our snowboard in the ski room. We said we would do it later because we first needed to take our snowboard boots out. They said that was fine and completed the check-in. The next day, we went snowboarding and were shocked by how expensive the lift tickets were. While on the slopes, we met other guests who told us about a “Stay & Ski” offer for CHF 47 per day, which must be purchased for the entire length of the hotel stay. Since we had already spent over CHF 200 on lift tickets, we went to the front desk to ask about this. The staff told us it was impossible that no one had informed us and said we should have read the booklet they gave us at check-in. Later, another staff member admitted they forgot to mention it but still insisted it was our responsibility to read the pamphlet. When we explained that we would be skiing more days and asked to buy the discounted tickets for the remaining days only, we were told this was not possible and that we must pay for the full stay. Despite explaining the situation again, the response remained the same: there was “nothing they could do” and it was entirely our fault. The hotel itself is nice, but unfortunately the customer service was very disappointing and lacked flexibility or understanding.

Views from the hotel area and the room were beautiful. Breakfast options were great and staff and service was very friendly. Hotel had a classic old-world “Belle Elwood” feel to it that seems common to the grand hotels of the area.

Elegance abound

Located just outside St Moritz in a nice town. We had dinner just down the street, a fabulous breakfast in the hotel and left for the Bernina train back to Italy. Would love to explore Switzerland more in the future. The hotel is classy and elegant with great views and just a quick bus to downtown St Moritz

An excellent stay!

It's been nearly six months since my wife and I stayed at the Schloss Hotel & Spa Pontresina and I still find myself thinking about this wonderful hotel and spa! The staff was so welcoming and friendly. Truly professional. I loved the old world charm of the hotel and dining areas. All of our meals were excellent and the service was outstanding! The concierge and front desk staff were so accomadating, friendly and professional. The concierge gave us excellent information on the hotel's amenities and the town of Pontresina. The maitre d' and dining room staff were also outstaanding! And of course. the snow coverd winter view from the hotel was incredibly beautiful!

The hotel is only 80m from a bus stop which you can take to St Moritz. Room was clean and tidy. Reception staff extremely helpful.

This property is in a quaint town surrounded by mountains. it's a 15 minute walk up a slight hill from the train station (if you don't have a car although i believe there is easy parking too). The room we stayed in was in the lower ground floor although still had beautiful views of the river and mountains. Rooms didn't have aircon but leaving the window open did not create any noise. The spa was fantastic and a welcome addition after a day of hiking. It was very spacious and plenty of room for people to relax in between steam room of ice buckets. The breakfast was plentiful and had sufficient vegan options too. Highly recommended
