Malta House - a good holiday on the green island next to the beach

Casa da Malta is an old house, fully recovered, where the respect for the old style is combined with the comforts of a modern house.

The house has four double rooms with private bathrooms, each.

There is the possibility to mount an extra bed in one of the rooms, increasing the capacity of the house to 9 people. There is also a children's bed.

In addition to the bedrooms, the house has a living room with a fireplace and a game table, and a dining room, where 10 people can sit.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the features of a normal home.

The garden has a leisure area, and is very pleasant. You can enjoy the aromatic plants and infusion plants found in the garden beds.

Cleaning of common parts (living rooms, kitchen and shared bathroom) is provided daily - with the exception of Saturdays and Sundays.

Towels and sheets are changed every 4 days if necessary.

The house is located about 5 km from the city of Ponta Delgada and 500 meters from Praia do Pópulo.

Azorean Getaway for Six Friends

Malta House was perfect for our group of three couples. It’s located about 5 km east of downtown Ponta Delgado, within walking distance of Populo (aka Sunset) Beach, which was great for swimming, even in September. There are several restaurants within walking distance, or a short drive. The owner, Jaime, met us at the house and showed us around. He was always available on What’s App, and was very helpful. The house has 4 bedrooms, each with 2 twin beds put together as a king. There was lots of common space to hang out in, and the kitchen well-equipped. The housekeeper comes daily and was also helpful. The garden is incredible, an oasis in the city, with sitting and dining areas, and a well kept flower and vegetable garden. We highly recommend Malta House to anyone looking for a home base on Sao Miguel.

Sao miguel hiking trip

The accommodations gave us everything we needed for a great stay. We had a large group and the kitchen and amenities made for an affordable stay. Located away from the main town, we really were located. nicely for our itinerary. The backyard and all the gardens were outstanding. We were invited to use the produce which really made us feel at home. All the separate rooms and baths gave everyone privacy. The only negative was the parking. We did have to park on a side street and walk to the rental unit. But, really, this was not a big deal. The unit was in great condition, and you could tell the hosts know what they are doing in the hospitality business. Would stay again in a heartbeat. The host also had great suggestions and answered all our inquiries in a timely manner. Customer service!! Thanks!!

Hi - we were a group of 9 on an Azores vacation. This property was perfect for us. There were 4 separate bedrooms so we could spread out. The house was immaculate and well appointed. One might the housekeeper prepared a dinner for us and I would recommend that to anyone. This is a great house .

Very Nice and Comfortable

We were a party of 6 and needed 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The Malta House was perfect. The only issue is that it is on a fairly noisy street, and if it is warm, you will want to keep the windows open as there is no A/C. The street noise was enough to wake you up a couple times. Other than that, it is a beautiful place. We rented a couple cars and there was adequate parking right around the corner. A rental car was handy as the location is not within walking distance to shopping. There was one confusion. We were told that there was no washer available for guests when we checked in. We booked through VRBO and the listing clearly showed laundry facilities in the house. When we should that to the owner, they said we could use the washer. In fact, their housekeeper Elena did our laundry for us. If you need laundry, you might check before you book.
