The hotel was amazing! It is beautiful and clean. Such a wonderful view. My only negative was the massage rooms are right next to the indoor pool so it was a bit hard to relax with children screaming/crying and toilets flushing. (Not blaming the children, just the location of the rooms could be better situated somewhere else)

Everyone was very nice and helpful from the front desk to the restaurant room maids health and spa center just one little remark was that children are allowed in the warm pool spa area and it got noisy in the evenings. In my opinion theirs should be a time limit soo customers can go and relax in the evenings on the positive beautiful coastal trails that lead you to the next village peaceful and break taking sunsets and sunrises

This place was in the middle of the northern part of island. From here we explored 3/4 of the island in 2 days with a rental car. It was easy for an american to drive. I suggest an automatic. We had a standard. It was fun. Up and down and around the roads. We tried Cozido das furnas. It was delicious! My wife did a little family history searching, as her family is from the island. We visit the church where the family married and the cemetery. The island is beautiful. Everywhere.
