Great accommodation, beautiful surroundings and peaceful. Overall the accommodation was clean, however there were empty pizza boxes left there from the previous people and also some of the drinking glasses were also dirty. In saying this I would still definitely stay here again as the goods outweigh the bad.

What a great escape

Pros: My partner she loved the bath looking out onto an amazing view, I loved the close proximity to everything and the ability to keep a log fire going
Cons: Nil - we were happy with all of the facilities
Location: Close to everything, water falls, amazing hikes and bushwalking, local flora and fauna, even had a little snow fall on the high mountain walks
One of the best weekend getaways ever!! Received a detailed and warm text message from the owners of the property explaining well prior, how to get there, how to access our villa and a little about the property. Once we arrived we found everything to be well above expectation. The place was exactly what we were after, first and foremost it was clean, maintenance free, quiet and we weren't on top of other travelers. We had our own space, able to walk with the local fauna and in close proximity to all of the Grampian attractions. For us we were truly able to unwind at our own pace. For us Monday to Friday is so hectic, so the ability to sit in front of a open fire place and taking in the breathtaking views with a glass of wine was enough in itself.

Simply Amazing!

This place was the perfect choice for our anniversary weekend away! Quiet, peaceful, romantic & the most beautiful scenery to look at while enjoying a glass of red on the deck. The facilities were exceptional (name it, they had it), including a bathtub at the end of the king size bed!! Thank you Blaze Rock Retreat for the most perfect of venues for our weekend getaway!

Accomadation is well organised and spotlessly clean. Location is quiet and peaceful. Appliances and fittings are all of very good quality. We enjoyed our stay and have no complaints.

An absolutely perfect place to chill out.

Pros: The ambiance and the locaion
Cons: Bath Salts! Everything else was perfect.
Location: Halls Gap is close by where thee are a couple of places to get some nice food and also visit the national park. Don't forget the Zoo!
The resort is a perfect place to unwind. The grounds are filled with wildlife which appears to also be there just to chill out. The resort is also just a small distance to some amazing sights and the Zoo is well worth visiting. Sitting out on the Veranda after a tiring day climbing to the pinnacle with a bottle of red and great company was the most relaxing experience that you could want. When it was time to go inside, the lighting of the fire and snuggling down to the evening was so very enjoyable. We will definitely return.

Private accommodation, lack of attention to detail

The units are modern and in a nice spot with beautiful views and privacy. You can see kangaroos, emus and deer when you wake up. There are ample facilities to cook and prepare your own food. The bathroom is generous in size and has a washing machine. The overall cleanliness needs to be improved - cupboards were sticky and the interior of draws were dirty. The pillows are lumpy and uncomfortable and were an example of skipping on purchasing quality products which was also obvious with the hard, thin towels and tissues. The external light didn't work which made it difficult to cook at night as it's pitch black. We used a torch from the car. An internal light was also not working. No kindling for the fire. Overall, the seclusion of the place made it relaxing but there was definitely a lack of attention to detail.

Thank you Brad for your comments and we are glad you enjoyed our location and the amazing wildlife on your doorstep. We have passed your concerns onto the cleaners and replaced the blown light globe. Thank you for alerting us to it as one never knows when a globe is going to blow. With regard to the pillows they have all recently been replaced with several different varieties so it is unfortunate you could not find one that suited you. Our linen and supplies are provided by a professional company that deal in supplying accommodation providers so once again we apologise if the products were not to your liking. Thank you for your feedback and hope our response to your issues is positive.
