The resort is on a beautiful property, the beach is great and you can walk down it to the town a km away. The buildings themselves are dated and need a touch up. The service is bad. Our room wasn't ready for the 3 pm check in. Cleaners only came by our special request once in 4 nights. We had 3 guests they took all our towels and left us with 2. We had no hot water for 2 days, they apologized with 6 chocolates, hardly compensation for a delayed check in and no hot water for 2 days. Then we found at dinner time there wasn't enough hot water to go around. Also it rained and they didn't have enough umbrellas for everyone. They also don't allow outside food or drink at the beach or pool but charge a fortune for their drinks, that is if you can find the bartender. They add 17% in fees onto food and drinks so in the end a cocktail will cost more than double at times triple outside the resort. I have stayed in 8 hotels in SouthEast Asia and this was by far the most expensive and by far the worst service. We did find out that room cleaning does come, it comes in the evening when your in the room. I guess we were just not patient enough.

Huge buffet with heaps of variety including GF options, lots of pools with great views of the beach, plus multiple water slides and a river float, spacious rooms with daily housekeeping, great gym and friendly and helpful staff. Also short walk along the beach to Karon town centre and quick taxi ride to Patong. All in all a really great family stay. Only area of improvement would be the kids club. Staff were very friendly but the amenities could do with an upgrade as there isn’t much for the kids to do.

The property was beautiful the room was fantastic. Loved the breakfast. Staff was very kind and accommodating. Only thing I had an issue with was with all of the garbage on the beach. It was terrible. So much debris. Someone needs to be out there cleaning that daily. Property is too beautiful to have a beach that full of trash.

My wife and i have never had such a delightful and pleasant experience as we did staying at centara grand beach resort. The staff was amazing, helpful, polite, punctual and attentive. We personally would like to thank Game (from the wait staff), Spy, Ern, and Dada (from the Spa staff, and Mey and Dia (from housekeeping). They all made the stay unforgettable.

Resort was lovely and fantasic for kids however very expensive to eat. Its a little out of the way to walk into town with little kids. You need to walk along the beach and cross the water from the lake

Phuket is Very busy, staying at yhis resort felt like a nice escape from that. I loved the beautiful beach access and the room, bathtub and accommodations felt like Princess treatment, thank you for an amazing experience.

The property is far from being a 5 stars hotel. The breakfast buffet is below average, and facilities there are fit for mass tourism and never felt any luxury feeling. The only positive aspect is the size of the room and the balcony which felt like a consolation for the high rate you pay.

The food was not as good as I was expecting considering the cost of it. However, the staff was beyond helpful in making things special for my partner and I. We were able to try to spa, gym, and pools a little bit because it stormed the whole time but it would have been nice to know that things just look closed in the rain and not actually closed, we missed almost a whole day because everything looked shut down.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and found the location to be excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the rooms were cleaned daily to a good standard. Strong supervision around the pools, which made it feel safe for children. There were a few areas that could be improved. Some pool tiles were extremely rough, and unfortunately, all of us ended up with grazes at some point. While not serious, it could be easily addressed. Breakfast was a highlight, with a large and varied buffet offering everything from fresh pastries to hearty curries—something for everyone. The beach area directly in front of the hotel needs attention. There was a noticeable amount of plastic and sea waste washed ashore, which sadly isn’t being cleared by any of the seafront properties. A coordinated effort to clean and recycle this waste would make a big difference. The path down to the beach was also problematic, with poor lighting and a broken surface. Walking along the beach itself was a better option, provided you have sandals. The sand was golden and soft, which made for pleasant walks. It’s important to note that during monsoon season, the sea is unsafe for swimming due to strong rip tides. Tragically, there have been two recent fatalities, so this is something to be very mindful of if you're planning to swim. Lastly, a tip for getting around—download the Bolt app. It’s an incredibly efficient taxi service, operating just like Uber, and made local travel very easy.
