Booked this hotel for 19th November 25, I got to the hotel around 10:30pm at night to find no electricity was on in the hotel, no lights or heating was available in the rooms. The reception area was in utter meltdown due to people trying to find alternative hotels as the reception desk could not help nor assist, I gave them my details as I wanted a full refund didn't want to sleep in a freezing dark hotel room. After various calls and again yesterday 17/12/2025 at 2:40pm I am still waiting for a full refund. The management and customer care at this hotel is shocking !! Not electric !!!

Only issue was that I was put into a disabled room, which was large but the sink was low (splashed over trousers) and the shower head only came to around chest height, so not ideal for someone that is not disabled.

I had prebooked an early checking, requested a fruit platter and a breakfast. On arrival i was immediatley told that i could not check in as it was too early. I informed the staff i had prebooked an early check in and showed my booking. There was also confusion about the fruit platter. I was told i could come to reception and get it when i wanted it. As i had just driven for 5 hours i requested it immediatley. My total bill came to £124.50 with an extra £10 for an upgrade. The manager repeatedly told me there was free breakfast. But there was £10 charge for breakfast. My fruit platter arrived as a bowl of fruit salad. Not the best to keep in a room with no fridge. The hotel although clean was tired. I would not stay here again

The hotel provided good value for money. I think it was previously a premier inn and before that a holiday inn express as the bathroom was in that style. It could do with some TLC but that is linked with the price. You have to pay around £5 per night for parking

Average hotel that is reflected in the price, stayed several times. Unfortunately they are now charging g parking, really a stealth increase for rooms as the hotel is set well away from any convenience or services.
