Stay Together! Mini farm escape, sleeps 10, Hot tub, covered porches

Welcome to Goat Crossing — a mini farm escape in Pembroke, Virginia, with room for everyone to stay together.
Our 4-bedroom, 2-full-bath country home comfortably sleeps 10 on 4 acres, with goats, ponies, a hot tub and plenty of indoor and covered outdoor space for gathering. Whether you're traveling with family or friends, there's room to be together — and room to spread out.
🏡 STAY TOGETHER — COMFORTABLY
One of the things guests love most about Goat Crossing is having real living space for the whole group. Instead of disappearing into separate hotel rooms, everyone has a place to gather for morning coffee, meals, conversation and those evenings that somehow turn into hours of sitting around talking and laughing.
❤️ MAIN-FLOOR LIVING
Traveling with several generations? Three of our four bedrooms and both full bathrooms are located on the main floor, along with the kitchen and main living areas.
The fourth bedroom is upstairs in the loft, giving part of the group a little extra separation while allowing those who prefer to avoid stairs to enjoy the main level.
Our comfortable living-room recliners are favorites too — past guests have even mentioned how much Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed having them!
🌿 COVERED OUTDOOR LIVING
Don't let a little rain send everyone indoors.
The main living area opens directly onto a large covered patio, creating an easy flow between inside and outside. Step out the front door and you'll find another covered porch.
These covered gathering spaces are mentioned again and again by our guests — they're perfect for morning coffee, meals, visiting, relaxing and spending an evening together outdoors.
🐐 YOUR OWN LITTLE MINI FARM ESCAPE
The goats and ponies give Goat Crossing a personality all its own. Enjoy the peaceful country setting, visit with the animals and experience a little taste of farm life while still having all the comforts of a private vacation home.
♨️ SOAK, RELAX & STAY AWHILE
The hot tub is waiting when you're ready to unwind. After a full day out — or simply because you're on vacation — settle in for a soak and enjoy the slower pace of country life.
🐾 BRING THE DOGS
Dogs are welcome at Goat Crossing because vacations are better when the four-legged members of the family can come too.
📍 CLOSE TO WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE
Goat Crossing is conveniently located for Virginia Tech and Blacksburg, Mountain Lake Lodge, the Cascades and the New River, along with hiking, boating, kayaking, tubing and fishing throughout the area.
Whatever brings you to this little corner of Virginia, Goat Crossing gives your group something special when the day is over:
A place to come home to.

Wonderful stay in a country/farm setting

We were in the area for a local family reunion and Nancy’s place was a perfect overnite stay for our four families with 4 young kids. We had plenty of room including space for local relatives to visit us in the evening. The kids loved feeding the goats and the closed off front porch was a perfect area for them to play with minimum supervision. Nancy responded to our needs and questions quickly and was a perfect host. Would definitely stay again for future reunions or visits to the area!

Family getaway

The property was perfect! It was very well taken care of and the owner was super nice and friendly. My daughters loved visiting with the goats and chickens and my husband and I enjoyed sitting on the porch or in the hot tub relaxing most evenings. Only drawback was a few very friendly cats that my dog wasn’t crazy about but we worked it out and everyone enjoyed the visit very much.

Fun Farm house close to Tech

Nancy Lynn was amazing with her communication and help/ working with us. She was so easy to work with! Great Hostess. The house is about 20 min from Va tech, and was a great adventure for our student and our family. Goats, chickens, Ponies, and a zipline were all greatly enjoyed. Beds were great, and house well stocked. Will likely stay again!
